Lovely stuff. I’ve docked a point because you didn’t spin the cranks having fitted them before the chain goes on 😄. Also, I noticed the plastic guard was still on behind the cassette then disappeared later on when you set up the gears. Imagine spending £14k on a bike and finding that 🫣
After the SL 7 Steerer tube recall I have not been able to consider this model for purchasing. I have not been convinced that the fix will prevent/avoid causing pressure points or impressions on the steerer tube in certain spots. Is my fear correct or has the fix/recall completely addressed this previous issue? Should I rather wait for SL8?
Nice bike, beige really is the color of the year it seems. Two technical questions: 8:11 it seems he doesn't give a ** about tightening the stem bolts equally w.r.t. the joint between the stem cover and its main body - that is embarassing! Typically, this results in a poor spread of tightening pressure, leading to inferior friction force for holding the handlebar. Even more, this can result in punctual stress on the stem cover, leading to cracks. 10:15 Could you also tape the handlebar in the regular way, i.e. starting from the ends and moving inside? Or is it a typical procedure to wrap inside-out for these handlebars, since tape would interfer with the premade, flat aero shape?
Bikes these days look amazing but not much difference in frame design between the brands with exception of Pinarello. All bikes have drop seat stays which by the way it's an original design by GIANT. Disc brakes on road bikes is useless. Why road bikes are for paved roads. Braking the wet not much difference with rim brakes. I"ll stick with rim brakes and disc for off road, even though you can do a bit of off road on road bike just change to wider tires but not for extreme off road. Nice looking bike though.
there are so many real life tests and applications that prove there is a pretty decent improvement in stopping distance/power with Disc over Rim brakes.
Beautiful bike and amazing video...it was so satisfying just to watch the assembly process..even the music was great...subtle but perfect 👌
Very nice 👌 this luxury bike
One of the best build videos I have seen! Elegantly done!
Wonderfully done. A pleasure to watch. Carry on.
I’ve seen this frame color and person and it’s even better. Great build.

Amazing 🤩
solid!
i reckon old mate torqued the f&ck outa that seat post binder
Hell of a vid. Please next time show the wheel/tyre build (esp when the tire seats) and freehub spin 🤤🤤
Got the same color frame set for back up in case I crash 😁
Jesus that saddle is up high lol
Too hot, couldn't help it, came fast!
Now that I own a Factor Ostro, it's interesting to see the differences in the frame between the two. The Specialized looks much more minimal.
ok in what way do you mean minimal? Carbon material? Assembly steps? I am considering the Ostro too.
Красавец
4:50 I hope he went back to torque the first bolt again
Nice bike. There is no need to click a torque wrench twice.

Plastic guard... honestly who cares
He did obviously, since he removed it.
Keeping the plastic guard is an option but all riders that buys entry level up to high end road bikes always remove those.
What did he slot into the bottom of the seat post???
@entoh le Thanks. Do you have to take the seat post out to recharge them?
the face of suffering that this boy has says many things.

The "fix" is only meant to stop you from falling over the front of the bike when the steerer fails, not to stop damage to the fork.
Get 2 canyons for the same peice
You're just be waiting for a mandatory recall.
