I dunno. Star Wars fans had to deal with an entire trilogy and some subpar Disney tv shows. So they're probably eating worse. But at the very least, Megamind fans are nowhere near as low as Star wars fans to send death threats to the new voice cast (probably aside from a few "trolls" here and there but still)
Not only did Will Ferrell decide to voice for Despicable Me 4, but it also reminds me of the time Dreamworks had Eddie Murphy taken to Shrek 2 and Mulan had to find a new voice due to a contract between them and Disney. So Dreamworks did Disney and Illumination did them. What a streak their movies had.
My headcannon now is that Gru and Megamind are best friends since they both came out around the same time and are based on virtually identical premise. Now Gru is disappointed about how they massacred his boy.
In my honest opinion, I completely agree with you, but I don’t have very high hopes for Dm4. It has good animation and the usual Minion humor of course but its plot so far seems very rushed and cliche like Dm3.

@@PandaSlothProductions That was the only problem I had with the movie. Yes, in my opinion it's one of the best animated movies I've seen which made me wanna rewatch it more than once, but the pacing could've been a little bit better.

I dunno. Star Wars fans had to deal with an entire trilogy and some subpar Disney tv shows. So they're probably eating worse.
But at the very least, Megamind fans are nowhere near as low as Star wars fans to send death threats to the new voice cast (probably aside from a few "trolls" here and there but still)

Not only did Will Ferrell decide to voice for Despicable Me 4, but it also reminds me of the time Dreamworks had Eddie Murphy taken to Shrek 2 and Mulan had to find a new voice due to a contract between them and Disney.
So Dreamworks did Disney and Illumination did them. What a streak their movies had.

Ngl the despicable me movies are over hated (mainly the third one) and in my opinion are good movies with the first two being the best.
In my honest opinion, I completely agree with you, but I don’t have very high hopes for Dm4. It has good animation and the usual Minion humor of course but its plot so far seems very rushed and cliche like Dm3.
