- Ever seen a person’s hat and assumed something about how they play? Well, you’re not alone. In fact, most hats in the game hold a certain stereotype. This series of videos aims to go over some of the most well-known stereotypes in TF2.
Please keep in mind that I’m not saying that anyone who wears a certain hat is a certain type of person. These videos are for fun. Sorry if I hurt your feelings or something.
Have you ever seen four spies on your team? Wait, dumb question, of course you have. Well, have you ever wondered a quick way to judge what each of them is capable of and how they’ll play? Well, just look at their hats. Duh.

I loved the Dishonored hat, just loved the franchise in general and thought the hat looked cool. To properly emulate how Corvo can be pretty fragile in combat I'd give the spy the Kunai (Cuts HP down to 60 HP but can overheal to 180 with backstabs on healthy enemies)

To be honest, I almost never see Spies wearing the Noh Mercy. It's kind of like a fabled myth that traders covet more than anything. I see way more shitty spies wearing the Lacking Moral Fiber Mask, so I feel that SoundSmith hit it on the head with that one.

No seriously, the point of TF2 is to complete the goal and beat anyone who gets in your way. And if a pyro went W,M,1 and killed five spies on the cart, he did something he shouldn't have in theory but now he's a skilled player because he didn't die, even though his strategy was the same as any war pig.

ACTUALLY TRUE STORY:
So my friend had a sinus infection, so he was prescribed medication containing a legal dose of opiods, and while he was high as a kite, he actually used all of his keys to buy a Time Warp Janissary Ketche. That hat, as of right now, is one of a kind, and my friend actually had no memory of buying it until the next morning when he saw it in his inventory. We had to get rid of his mobile authenticator after so he won't sell his Australiums and shit
I actually met a "dark sky" in tf2 and had the sterio type and every time I killed him he would talk mass shit even though we were all friendly and he started. I was spy too btw he got dominated and left. Good times lol.

As one of the hats mentioned in the video, I can clarify that what's been said about spies who wear me is 100% true. They ALL equip the L'etranger. Also, they often tend to forget that they have a melee slot, as they use it as the primary weapon for putting damage. They constantly shoot with it from the distance, undisguised - even at snipers who turn their backs to them, and don't have the razorback equipped. Yup, despite the -20% damage compared to the stock. And man, you got to be thankful that they use the rather inferior L'etranger, because these spies compensate their shitty game sense with surprisingly good aim! You couldn't possibly escape an encounter with them, if their choice for revolver (not for hat :D) didn't suck. Imagine if these guys used an Ambassador. You would be completely and utterly fucked!!

I've recently taken to using the "tryhard spy loadout" with the chapeau, doublecross comm and dead of night because people seem to get more upset getting trickstabbed by me when I look like that then when I wear a gibus

I think its just me, but I really like the Nanobalcava with the Assassin's Attire and whatever Filler Misc you wanna add. The Assassin's Attire is just THAT impressively good.

Why do people think like that? They also seem to think (from what I saw ,I have never played TF2 ever) equipping the weapon alons will make them better. Sure you can practice with it. But equipping alone doesn't make you a God.

@@st4ndg4mes87 one purchase from the mann co store. The best way is to buy a supply crate key and sell it on scrap.tf for metal and then buy everything you want from here with metal. Maybe you need to have 5 dollars/euro spend in the steam market, im not sure.

I wish there was a way to change your view model to a different weapon, I really like the look of the deadringer because the carving is really pleasant to look at and I like the round status bar, I also like the diamondback's effect but I like the Ambassador's design more because the shape of the gun is nice and the carvings look really nice as well, obviously it should look like it does now from the outside but I see no reason to not be able to customize your own view, unless it's not possible for whatever reason, I'm not really a tech guy.

Travingel I'd say that if you know the map, and there are enough ammo packs (so not on CTF of KOTH), the stock invis watch is a great option because it has the longest lasting cloak, and it gets you doing things because you're not just sitting there being useless while your cloak fills back up. Take it with the l'etranger and it can be really powerful.

I use the L'inspecteur with the L'etranger too, but probably for a reason unique. I use the combo so it resembles A Great War French officer, and the L'etranger is pretty close to the French revolvers used during that time (note: l'etranger is based on a Nagant 1895,which did see service in WWI. Knowing the scale of the war it is without a doubt some french officers carried it)
