What happens if a Train Driver makes a wrong turning if the signalman has made a mistake on a junction ? I also know a Train Driver and Conductor in Edinburgh who got sacked for overshooting a station platform into a tunnel then reversing without clearance from control. They both ended up as bus drivers and it was a privilege knowing them.

David Boyce Thanks David, that video is 'right away' through Kirkham whereas mine was a stopper. Looks to have been filmed on same unit and same day which it probably was, The DTMs have been busy getting as much filming in as poss. It's genuine and perhaps filmed officially for network rail, virgin etc Thanks for the heads up though!

IThat seems to be a significant line speed increase? It also looks and feels like a 21st century railway now

All the money was wasted on ten platforms at Blackpool north which is ludicrous for a station with only one destination (Preston).
@@ianhosier4042 Yes indeed why do they need 10 platforms? If I remember the station staff at BN are not the most passenger friendly either.
