I’m interested to see the batch/sequential shootout on a 2.3. My theory is it doesn’t matter for WOT and 5000rpm+ on engines with decent flowing components. maybe in a low hp application maybe there could be an advantage for peak power.
Is that your final answer? I'm betting on an NA engine, no hp change. On a turbo engine 10hp
I literally had a jet commercial mind blowing moment once the “carbon fiber panel” was completed. I was asking myself how far I might be able to go with that🤔. Would definitely love to see the mustang tearing up the track again too👌🏼👍🏻

good video, im seriously thinking about taking my t bird apart and doing a complete rewire bumper to bumper.
It's ambitious but once it's done you know what you've got.
I would like to see an exhaust back pressure sensor, a second intake air temp between the turbo and the intercooler and a MAF... Then I may actually use some of what I learned in heat transfer 😂
Back pressure and air charge temps are about the only useful thing I had on the list other than some joke things. 😂

Let's see some individual EGT and O2 readings and see how tuning individual cylinders changes the power. Plus that's 8 sensors...probably 2 more than the HP it will make! 😂
And oh how I wish it were only 90. It's been right around 100 here for 2 weeks, with some nasty humidity. Makes me dread opening the garage.
Haha actually if I were to load it up with all those sensors at one time the car would slow down more than the power it would gain 😂

Nice! As involved as the pimp install video is going to be I think I'm going to get it completely ready to run that way I can do the pimp install and test run together. It's in progress though!
I left some comments, yes to everything that asked if we wanted to see, and can't wait to see this pinto scream for mercy while going down the track. Hopefully my aluminium driveshaft will be here Wednesday along with the u joints. Im ready to kick some brand x boooty.🤪 ive got some new valve springs so that this thing will rev out , now ive got to get off my lazy butt in this ac and go out in the heat and put them in. Southern Alabama humid heat is terrible
I don't recommend getting out of the AC. I started thinking about which cars I plan to put AC back on yesterday. 😂
@@2300gearjammer 🤣😂🤣 The pinto is definitely going to get ac again. I only ripped out everything under the hood that was going to need replacing anyway . It's going to have to just be as fast as it can with ac 🤠🚙💨
I need to make a front splitter for my Turbo Coupe. Do you think that custom carbon fiber will work in that application?
😂 yes! For display purposes only. Not to be used in real life...Only CZcams. Now I'm worried my super custom ecu mount is going to break.

Would you happen to know the part number for the front crankshaft seal?
I don't know for sure. I think it's a felpro 16101 but I can't remember.

How do you hook up the sequential coil
That's a little tricky. After the pinto is running I might do a separate quick vid just for that. It uses a coil ignitor. So the PIMP controls the ignitor and the ignitor controls the coil firing.
Many years ago I took the original carb. and adaptor off and put a 350 Holley 2 bbl. The fuel mileage and power went up. I acquired a turbocoupe so I added the turbo to the Holley with very low boost. My fuel mileage went from 27 w/o turbo to 31 mpg with turbo. I wanting to try the Holley Sniper efi with the turbo. My question to you is , have you ever compared the performance between the stock pinto intake to the efi lower intake. This week I'm putting in a T5 and adding 3.40 gears. My goal is 35 mpg with the right combination. Stock intake with 350 Holley, efi intake with 350 Holley or Holley sniper efi.
I haven't done that comparison. 35mpg doesn't seem impossible though. I've gotten 31 in a mustang at 2900lbs.
It's amazing how much that little big of boost can help fuel economy.
Was it a 4spd and going to a t5?
Yes 4 spd to a T5. I do a lot of traveling in my Pinto so far is been to 31 states. One trip was KC to Maine 4000 miles. Many trips down the dragstrip and raodrace track in Kansas and One in West Virginia. Getting car ready for a trip to Tail of the Dragon in August

Do have a ECM for a 87-89 2.3 N/A auto? I'm having major issues I bought one from O'Reilly but it doesn't seem to work, mine works for about 10 minutes and it's done until it sits a while? Any ideas? Check out my videos if you get time

I would much rather have a low dyno number and low ET than brag about a big dyno number and be turtle slow at the track.....cant race a dyno because a peak number means nothing if you don’t stay in that peak
