A lot of people, especially with natural hair use a ton of different products on their hair and none of it includes grease. Grease was important back in the day it still is now
Yes it is! & it's a staple product for me now! My hair is healthy and thriving because of it!
This stuff is the truth. I seal my hair with Indian hemp grease or any grease and wash once a week in big braided sections and de tangle under running warm water and it had changed my hair life. Retained so much length over the last few months. My hair grew 4 inches in 4 months and I retained it !! Always had problems with breakage but now I don’t anymore. I also always keep my hair in a low maintenance protective style. I do four braids and twist them into two low buns. :)
@@queeniebarrie5371 no just of my hair, I avoid it on my scalp. I usually apply it a few inches from my scalp all over when doing protective styles or with wash n go's I just put it on my ends! :) Grease is what I seal in the moisture with. So its my last step
Do you use it after you put in after your cream then braid your hair
I cannot believe I was spending money on different products.. and really all I needed to use on my hair was grease.
OMG same I’m gonna just use grease for now on.I was doing a cream, gel, and a butter for my braidouts but they wouldn’t last that long.Last week I tried only grease and a leave in and did my first twist out.I was shook my twist out was poppin and the definition was incomparable to my usual routine. I can’t believe I was spending all that money on natural hair products and what I really needed was sitting at home all this time.
I just went back to grease about a year ago after doing the oils and butters. They were ok but grease was waaay better.
Same! It’s been years for me! And I started using grease again just last year. Even my kid’s hair is thriving! All of em 😍
Have you considered mixing the oils, butter and grease together? I combine all beloved
@@maudlyn25 I have considered that! I may try that just to get the benefits of everything.
That blue magic castor oil grease and the Indian hemp together are POWERFUL!
Do you mean when mixed together or used separately. It'll be the first time for me trying these brand greases. I usually use sulfur 8 but I want to try these out on my low porosity hair to aid with growth+length+moisture retention. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Girl yuh know what yuh saying...It is life for my hair the blue magic with the castor oil
@@tshepangmahasha3371 they probably mean mixed together since apparently the castor oil one works best when used with something else
You don't need the two. They have the same base ingredients so, it's like wasting your money.❤
i’ve been using blue magic for years! that one in particular (indian hemp).. that’s my go-to!! it smells sooo good & if you want MOISTURE, use her! she’s top 2 & she’s not 2 sis i promise
My hair REALLY grew with this grease. I was using it on my son's hair and ran out of moisturizer for my hair so I started using it too. My hair grew so much! My hair is thick and long, but this helped it to grow more.
If you dont mind me asking how long did it get and how long did it take to get longer?
@@tonniebee8943 honestly within a month of consistent use it grew 3 inches or more. I had A LOT of new growth! Lets just say it was enough for others to even notice. I used it with the TGIN moisturizer. You don't need much of the grease (it stretches). I hope this helps
@@jazzycaprice6606 hi how do you use the grease? Do you spray water to your hair first and then apply the grease?
@@ebony203 I do spray it a little, put moisturizer on it and then grease
@@jazzycaprice6606 hey, how often did you wash your hair and how did u reapply the grease? If u have it on your hair and decide to reapply, can u just put water and apply it? Will the water penetrate through the previous grease applied or do you have to actually wash out the grease first so that it doesn’t block the water? I’m sorry for the long question, this is my first time using it and I’ve seen that it’s a sealant so I’m confused on how I can reapply it without having to wash my hair every week.
I use grease on my hair even when my hair is braided (box braids). Wash once every two weeks. Grease up my scalp every two days, I also use castor oil now (it’s been growing my lashes like crazy). My goal is waist length hair
@@khadiah5486 how do you use ?
Grease + castor oil ? Or Castor oil + Grease please 😇
Dax Indian hemp is the best grease ever, I use Camille rose honey leave in conditioner and then the hemp grease to seal in...it’s an amazing combination.
Omg yes! My hair was getting dry after a few days with only the honey leave in. I used the blue magic indian hemp and it feels and looks so good.
Thank you for your comment, I was buying everything on tgin and I liked it but it's expensive so I'm going to go with some grease and tgin leave in
Island sister, thank you SO much!! Many of us have forgotten the old ways because we have been misled by weaves, wigs & frying our hair with flat irons. It's okay to try different styles, but we must realize there is a consequence to all that fake hair & heat. I went back natural about 5 years ago from an inch afro & now my hair is pass my shoulders. The braids & 2 stand-twists have spared me so much damage!! I was using the Creme of Nature coconut curling creme with a little peppermint or olive oil mixed in it. Works great but my ends still get a bit dry after 1.5/2 weeks. I'm going to try your method of Blue Magic/Indian Hemp to help with that problem. Summer is around the corner, and your tutorials make twist outs come out shiny & healthy!!
Scrapping all them hair products was the best thing I’ve ever done. I went back to hair grease and shea butter a year ago and Babyyyyyyy!
Yes🖤✨🖤
Yes, me too. So freeing...my hair has never looked & felt better. It thickened up, my twist outs are defined as well I don't bother it again until wash day.
I use blue magic & shea butter too. For the past few months I only have been using this hair & body oil that I order from ig @queenscaress (Local DC black owned & operated business owner)
@@OHoneyPot How do you use ?
Shea butter + grease or grease + shea butter
I was so against grease. But nothing abd I mean nothing kept and made my hair juicy like sealing my hair with grease. It be sooo juicy and moisturized!!
The Blue Magic Indian Hemp is the best!!! It is so moisturizing
I know that Blue Magic works but I think it's also that fresh air and good living in St John!
Just seeing you in your car and seeing island in the background, plus your accent, gives me so much life ❤️✨
Grease is a sealant apply it on Dampen hair or after leave-in. I love blue magic but my hair doesn't. My hair loves softer more. My sister used blue magic in her teens her hair was down her back. She stopped using it years ago and her hair state at her neck
My mom has always used Blue Magic (the blue grease) on my hair, since I was a kid. Now whenever I cut my hair, and start the growing back process, I use Blue Magic!!
Damn.... You took it way back... I need to just do what works. My hair was so long and thick when I was younger before the PERMS when the women in my family used to do my hair using those same products .. water and either that blue magic or dax. ✊🏾✊🏾
Yes I’ve put down all the expensive stuff and went back to that good old blue magic and my ends are super moisturized. I can sustain my twist outs longer. I know I can retain my length with this stuff.
So we are done making other people billionaires by buying all the expensive hair product without seeing the result we wanted. Now we are back to what actually works. See our lives??? This is the question I asked when all the natural hair people were condemning grease. How come grease was growing hair for out great grand parents and parent and suddenly we believed they no longer worked for us woke generation. 2nd question; how come Caucasian hair product was $1 and 2 such as vo5 etc while our hair product was $20 and above. We enslave ourselves and then turn around and complain. We let people take advantage of us then turn around and complain. About time we get it right and know that a lot of people want to exploit us okrttt
I believe u don’t need expensive products to grow hair/have healthy hair
This is the honest truth too! I agree! I even fell for it as a new natural years ago. I spent so much money trying to go "Curly Girl" and grease, water, and a moisturizer was all I needed the whole time...and a gel if I want a wash n go.
I literally buy most of my hair products from dollar tree now and I'm at hiplength!
I guess you live and you learn.❤️
I hate black people that compare everything to what white people do 🙄. It’s so annoying . You were buying $10-$20 natural hair products as well , NATURAL ingredients cost. Plus you can’t compare multi million dollar companies to new upcoming private-owned business prices with quality ingredients.. Secondly go buy those $2 Caucasian products then sis 😂. There was no need for the race comparisons .
@@staciegreene2262 you’re 100% right, and the cheap products don’t have great ingredients anyway. Expect Cantu, i Fucking love Cantu
Yaaasss! Indian hemp version is my fav too. Been using this grease for 4 years now. I grew up on the blue and green ones 🙌🏾

Blue Magic is the best out of all the hair grease 💞🕊️
That is a Black American staple... I am 44 and the brands was ultra sheen blue Magic and sulfur 8
LuvuFirst. I'm somewhat older. I remember all of the products you named👍
Yep and dax. My grandma used to pres me and my sister's hair with that, grease our scalp with it and everything
I still use sulfur 8 absolutely HATE the smell but it's great when I get box braids
I like them both but softee seems like a lighter formula. You can also use the softee version as a bomb pre poo
Yaasss hairline. Edge envy 😍
Wow love 💘 love this video and I just subscribed
I never stopped using Blue Magic! I use it on my son now too!!
I like both but the softee Indian hemp is my favorite.
Also I like "week in my hair" type videos.

Love your videos!! Are you from Tortola, BVI?
Hair Grease is 😩❤️💯👌💋!
Your hair looks good.....I used oil for about two weeks and went back to grease.Oil in liquid form does nothing for my scalp & hair.Dax is what I use.I wash and go one.Sunday and the next,I use my deep conditioner. I've bought high price products but the cheaper ones do the job.I use Creme of Nature.
Omg I want to use this grease but it reminds me of petroleum jelly...everyone has said grease is so bad for the hair but I might reconsider
I wasent able to find blue magic yet. I found Palmer's Hair Dress and conditioner and it has Jamaican back castor oil in it. It was a small tube . So will this work? Your hair is beautiful
Wah Gwon lilSis❤️❤️ I hope you are Well!
Indian Hemp is an OG….Love it! The brand I use though is KUZA….It’s 💣
Hey love, which Indian hemp do you like better? Softee or Blue Magic
@Razorempress: I was looking for the dax video on your channel but couldn't find it.
Did you make a video about dax?

I like the Indian Hemp...I just wish that it did not have a strong candy- like smell
Your hair is exquisite.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!😮😮😮😮😮😊😊😊😊😊
But I love your hair 😍 how often do you remoisturizw your twist with grease ???
St. John- been so long since I’ve visited!
Hey hey! ❤️ I miss you guys so much!.
We missed you!! Hey Hey
Miss you too gorgeous
Yesss... used back in the day and it made my hair grow, plus moisturized. The old school receipe, is the best. I don't think it changed, just the jar.
You can mix the grease with the oils you have. You will thank me later
Omg I had to pause at 1:30 to say this. You have so much beautiful hair. Back to video 😇❤
