    Great stuff. I'm doing the same route Burbank -Palm Springs and then Palm Springs to San Diego. First time driving over there but now I know what to expect. You make it look easy!

      lalalondon master the art of turning left and you'll be fine! It's a pleasure to drive in the states - our roads and motorways seem so small when you get home. Have a great time!

      Yes, this is the full video of the journey. Google Maps times the journey at 2 hours 17 mins :), thanks for the props.

      There are numerous gaps in the trip, which can be seen when the time on the camera jumps forward several minutes. I'm not talking about the stop at Denny's though -- did you have a Grand Slam breakfast?

    I've never run into anyone that could stand living there in summer. Evidently the electric bills can be as much as the rent. I know I would not like feeling shut in by heat all summer. Even in winter climates I can still go out. It does look beautiful though.

      You'll want solar panels to help cut the cost of running the AC so much.

      I live in Palm Springs and I can assure you that electricity, while costly, does not equal rent. Summers are survivable with AC and a pool. The heat of the summer is a fair trade off for the beautiful weather we enjoy for the majority of the year. Best times to visit, Spring and Fall.

      There are over 500K people that live here and work and go to school. All of you snowbirds have main character syndrome. Stay out.

    What highway or route is that coming out of Palm Springs? it’s much better than taking the 10

    • @charlenecanchola6535
      @charlenecanchola6535 Před 2 lety +1

      I almost can’t believe they did this. They went from where they were staying in Palm Desert/Rancho Mirage, north on 111 to have breakfast at Denney’s, in Cathedral City, then backtracked south on 111 to highway 74 which is the mountain route via Anza/Idyllwild. It’s a longer route but definitely more scenic. I guess the part that dumbfounds me is that they went so far out of their way to eat at a Denney’s when the desert offers SO many more options in dining, and not in chain establishments.

    I hate that mountain..I was so scared driving down...one false move and there is no chance of survival. But looks like you had fun. Never take that route again
