Goldfish can last a very long time, i had 3 in a glass bowl with some rocks in the bottom no water filter just water conditioning cleaned it out out maybe once a month and they lived for 9 years!!! awesome video guys xoxox

Just so you know when you get the tank dont put them straight in. Pour them in a bag and tie it up and leave it on the surface of the water.

@@TheLeRoys Only leave them for an hour and then pour them in, it is only so they adjust to the temp of the water and also let your tank filter itself for at least a day. Love your channel!

They can go into shock and die if put in too quickly , also gives the water time to settle
@@TheLeRoys Water conditioner which to get rid of chlorine and a filter are must haves. And for the Tank i wouldn't go smaller than a 100gallon because goldfishes need alot of space just for a individual fish with water temp of 68-74 also any items shouldnt be washed with soap since it's toxic but should be rinse with just water. Also after water,hides,plants,conditioner are added I would cycle the tank for awhile after cycling to acclimate (process to prevent shock from water temp) the minimum waiting time is 15 I prefer to wait 20 just to be safe I would also do more research about cycling checking ammonia and nitrate levels with test strips/kit.

Just a heads up, not for sure how big a tank your getting but its supposed to be 1 fish per gallon. I learned the hard way as they all started dying LOL.
