    Congrats - we see the emotions and totally get that 💯. The question all us car guys are asking is will any of us ever develop that kind of emotional bond with an electric? I just can’t see it . . .

    As a classic car owner I feel owning one now later in life is nothing like cruising around all night when I was in high school. Nice classic.

      Idk, man. I bought the Trans Am I always wanted in high school now in my mid 30s, and I honestly think it worked out well this way. I love driving the T/A at night. So relaxing after a stressful work day

    Congratulations! After many Corvettes and a few first gen Camaros I'm driving a 69 Camaro in my retirement years. Enjoy all the thumbs up on the road. Nice color too... 😉

    Originally midnight green interior and Frost Green exterior. X44 which is your base Camaro. With that said, put front disc and build a nice small block for it. Sweet ride already!!

      Column shift maybe too - I saw the tab on the end of the steering column under the hood. Or is that just to move the collar on the column, like an original floor shifted Chevelle?

    I think that I'd a windshield motor. Invest in disguise brakes for the front and a booster for the master cylinder. Nice camaro.

    The painters need to stop painting stripes on the bottom of the trunk lid. If you didn’t order a rear spoiler in a 69 Z/28 then the stripes would be on the lower lid, then if you added a spoiler you would see what this car has. Congratulations on your 69.

    Very nice 1969 Camaro but it looks like it's missing the drip rail molding that goes above the side windows also is not equipped with power brakes an more than likely doesn't have disc brakes which is probably the cause of the weak braking .

  • @chriseudy9619
    @chriseudy9619 Před 5 měsíci +1

    Power brakes have a big canister behind reservoir

  • @peto8109
    @peto8109 Před 2 lety +3

    Those things on your passenger side It’s a vacuum pump for the brakes it makes more vacuum to stop harder. That’s why whoever you got the car from they deleted brake booster. My opinion I’m not too fan of vacuum pump setup it looks cheesy and doesn’t really work that good you said it in the video the brakes are not good because of that reason.

    I think the most urgent thing is to elevate the car and spend a few hours underneath checking for rust/crash repairs, leaks, suspension issues, etc. Right after that, I would remove the two aftermarket carbon fiber panels on top of the firewall (they are attached with screws) plus the cowl panel itself (underneath the wiper arms) to check for rust near the windshield base. The mystery item on the firewall is an aftermarket electric heater and the original heater box cover is missing at that location. I'm guessing the original blower motor is absent too. Good luck!

  • @DanEBoyd
    @DanEBoyd Před 3 měsíci

    Nice car!! Do you know what it's missing? It has most of its Z21 special trim pieces - the wheel opening moldings, the chrome quarter panel 'louvers,' the chrome around the headlights and taillights - but it is missing the chrome drip molding pieces.

    Just came across your video, congrats brother!!! I can totally understand and relate to the emotions you were feeling. When I took delivery of my 69 Camaro back in 2012. I was like a geeky hyped up little kid who'd just eaten a family sized bag of skittles, was super high with emotion and energy. Over the years, I've worked on my car (i.e., small block to big block, suspension, drum brake to disc, headliner, read end, etc) and it's been fun and I enjoy owning this amazing timeless machine. You really come to appreciate the gem you have, especially when so many people compliment you and the non-stop offers to buy your car. Please let if you're in Texas (I'm in Houston), I'd like to connect with you and talk about our mutual interest with these, in my opinion, ultimate old school muscle cars. If interested, I can share a youtube video of my ride. Btw, I subscribed. Good luck brother!

    Nice man! Enjoy! I LOVE the rims on it. Not just on early Camaros, but on old 60's and 70's Corvettes, early to mid 70's Monte Carlos too.

    These are one of the nicest styled cars! Love the stance, colors and Rally wheels!! Now comes the nickel , dime time! lol. You definitely need a fan shroud! Its a must. Im betting your temp gauge gets a little high right now.
    In the trunk where you say there is no rus,t looks like a heavy undercoating???. That can be good, but mostly bad, when someone wants to cover up some bad spots. Once you start scraping, it never ends. Thats why my "67 Chevelle is still sitting in my garage. Like yours, it looked good off the truck. Even though its a Calf car , and being old , some small repairs were butchered under some bondo. I didnt want that , then one thing leads to the next. Im more of a perfectionist, so I get a little carried away over details, but if Im fixing something, Im doing it right!. These surprises are just the way things are, if you dont know the car and owners through the years. Good Luck!!!

    Right on it's hard to go wrong with a 69 Camaro! You can spend some money on them but you will not regret that too much down the road. I have owned a 67 RS, 7 69 Camaros and a 77 Camaro that I bought new. One of the 69's was a Lemans Blue RS Z28 and another was a Pro Toured RS SS Camaro Convertible. I now own a Saleen Mustang though and it does out perform any of the Camaros I used to own and has ice cold AC and blue tooth. I will probably never give up the Saleen but I have a solid lead on a really nice 67 Camaro that is going to be for sale pretty soon. So maybe I will be adding another Camaro to the list! I hope all goes well on your new car!
