As we say... Chengdu is a "Chinese city of 20 million, but a Tibetan town of 400,000" if it is "just" a Tibetan town, it will be the 3rd biggest after Lhasa & Shigatse... in Winter I think the population will swell to 1 million Tibetans counting folks who escape the winter to warmer places.
at 4'07'',your nephew said in Sichuan dialect "成都不要来 don't come to Chengdu 成都不要来 don't come to Chengdu 成都来了么 if you come to Chengdu 钱就一哈哈就没得了 your money will be gone very soon " you said "老乡 fellow-townsman" to that scooter driver .he thought you perhaps can't understand Sichuan dialect and want he explain ,so he said "成都不要来 don't come to Chengdu 来了就要花钱 because you have to spend money here " to you in Mandarin .Mandarin is different from Sichuan dialect .
I know. it’s quite expensive if compared to America. Things like coffee and stuff. But if you live a simple life. Your money can go long way. and not show off like wearing designer clothes.
@@chetsabhu6431 I like America .suggest that scooter driver could go there to live .when you try to bargain with him from 10 RMB to 9，8，7 that scooter driver will say I mean you need to pay 15 dollars（107.79 RMB） , if he can do the same job in America .
@@malorybertie8046 I always pay little extra when the route is over. Every where I travel But on the camera I like to do the bargaining. You can see me bargaining on boat ride in river Ganga. one of my videos in India.

Although Tibet has been highly developed, the environment on the plateau is still relatively harsh compared to the plains. Many wealthy Tibetans like to buy houses in Chengdu and Chongqing. These two cities are very close to Tibet and are very developed. They are very convenient for employment, study, medical treatment, shopping, etc.
because that city is situated at the edge of Tibet plateau ,it's almost all days are cloudy in winter .but it's still warmer than Tibet plateau in the winter ,many Tibetan Chinese olders like to stay in chengdu in the winter to avoid the bitter coldness in their hometown .
