The try that was refused was probably one of the most beautiful we've seen for a long time. Not arguing about the forward pass, it's probably ok to cancel the try, still was a damn nice one.
on est d'accord.
Eventhough I'm Fijian I'll never get tired of watching France play. They bring a different flair to the game..🇫🇯🇫🇯🇫🇷🇫🇷
Thanks of a French ! 😉
That is such fax
For REAL though. SALUTE FROM 🇹🇴🇹🇴🇹🇴💯💯💯👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾 BULA
That is so bloody generous of you, and I'm French! Before that match, France had played, over a span of ten years, the shi ....est rugby the game has seen! Appalling it was! The young guys coming up though are refreshing, smart players! And we have an amazing Welsh wizzard in our staff fixing our defence! Being Fijian, how about Virimi Vakatawa's performance two days ago against the same Welsh side?!!! That guy is unbelievable and brilliant! ... as most Fijians on the pitch! Cheers mate!
Thank you...bro
From an Englishman I really think Ntamack is my favourite player in the tournament. France deserve this grand slam.
All France hope we will do it too but Scotland and Ireland will not be easy to beat, we can do it, and I hope we will, but stay focus and don't underestimate our opponents. That is the way we need to take !
Caesar The Spicy you like ntamack because his complète name is Romain ( from Rome ) ntamack as you are caesar ( The Spicy ). empereur of Rome ?
Bad joke to be honest
Of course they deserve it. They got the referees against them and still they win. (Like England in WC semifinal)
He's only 20 years old, like many players in this team, very talented team 🇫🇷
From Wales congratulations France you played I hope you win the title this year
Well we'll do... If UK refs stop to f*ck us !!
Love the spirit man, especially as a former French/Basque number 2 player. Still tricky but we have a chance I guess, your team was awesome by the way. Take care, my love from Bayonne
Thx man 👍

2 real and main reasons explains that:
1- Now a rule imposes to the rich Top14 Clubs to include a minimum number of French players. Our best young players who were at best substitutes before are now titular players who play all matches from a young age.
2- Especially, the war between the Top14 Clubs and the national federation is over. An agreement was reached and the clubs now reserve their French internationals players well in advance to the National French team. A huge advantage compares to before, the Bleu staff can work like a club and not in improvisation as before!
In fact now France is like the Anglo-Saxon National teams and it balances everything. It allows France to take advantage of its power to the full. The Bleu giant is waking up...
@@clio2rsminicup Interesting stuff man, was wondering why France has seemed more consistent. Thanks for the info. They are one of the neutrals favorites.
@@clio2rsminicup Well resumed Bro.
Also, french law and sport minister oblige clubs and federation to reinvest a large part of profits in formation's system. Like in a socialist economia, very efficient in that case.
Now "le XV de France" plays with the same weapons, our players are not (or less than before) exhausted by the "marathonian" Top 14, they have time together. It changes everything, with the next home world cup as target.
The world will understand why french fans are so frustrated for years of war between clubs and federation.
Just watch and enjoy.

@Captain Insano Shows no mercy
Well, you are showing 👉 an interesting point.
When you look at social media, on the french side, they are all outraged at the décisions during the first half, the disallowed try, the yellow card and other irregularities.
On the welsh side, its the french have two yellow cards so they are a bunch of cheaters, the knock on on that tackle should have been a penalty trie etc etc...
Anyways, at the end of the day, Wales had their opportunities during 20mn to try to score while they were one man up.
Not a single point ...
Wales are going to Twickeham next, its gonna be a though one !
The whole world : "referee was against France"
Welsh fans : "ref was against us like always"
Welsh are tricky. They know if the argue the referee was against them some people we ll think it's true. Anyway it is not normal the referee is a bristish as Welsh are
@Captain Insano Shows no mercy "birdman Biggar flapping his arms around" !!! 🤣🤣🤣
MATTHIEU LE ROUZIC passports and driving licenses it says ‘british citizen or uk driving licenese’ to say were British, I still hate to call myself British. I only want to be recognised as Welsh, as thats what I am. Anyways the Welsh and English definitely wouldn’t help each other in games like these as match officials so no need to worry bout that😂
@@bicmacmeal420 Mate, i'm french, so english people are my biggest "historical rivals", there is nothing I like more than winning against them. But still, to be honest, I will actually have a tendency to hope that any european team will beat any other team, cause I feel French AND European. I very well know we're all cousins and brothers and share the same core values, history and DNA, I know the personal stories of some english players that I like, so I hate them but I am actually not that much against them, deep down. Generally speaking, in Europe i'm pro french and against english, but in the world i'm pro Europe against everyone.
That's the problem with you british (or what we suspect): on your island you all "hate" each other, but actually deep down you will very often be with your sibblings against latin or other countries, even if its uncounsious. You defend the same culture, values, the same idea of what rugby is, what fair-play means, you speak the same language...
So yes, we worry about that issue (we have also some good historical reasons) even if we know you hate each other. I feel it's always better for any british that trophies stay on british ground. Maybe we're wrong tough, but that's the reason of our we complaints I think. Have a nice day :)
So true.
I have already seen many Anglo-Saxon referees frob France, but this one has the palm
Anglo Saxon folks are so used to it that they don't even see it anymore, they think it's normal. It's getting ridiculous at this point. So much bias against the French team.

It would be great to have referees from the southern hemisphere in 6 Nations...
It would have been the same. "Commonwealth " never had a better meaning than in rugby
If I were a german, polish, turkish, macedonian, greek teenager wondering what to do with my life, I would seriously think of becoming an international rugby ref, plenty of room for success there! 😃😉
bebertease as long as it’s not Jaco Peyper, he’s absolutely awful
Like Craig Joubert or Peyper for exemple? Let me doubt.
Theres been a southern hemisphere ref a 6 nations game every year of the six nations as far back as I can remember...
3:50 you can hear the french tv commentators going bananas in the background :P
Well deserved for France, under very hard conditions (Welsh stadium, Anglo-saxon referee, Biggar whining, AWJ "helping" the referee, and some beef between historical rivals with the revenge from World cup), they made it and that's what matters, now they have to work on discipline and this will be a killer team.
Beautifull to watch, they like to play rugby.
It was really funny to ear some welsh saying french were cheaters when we see the shameful typical anti-french anglo-saxon refering of this game.
But this time french were far better (even reduced to 14 with the outrageous yellow card for Alldritt) even if, as usually, they played against 16 players.
This has to change
Welsh are Celts not Anglo Saxon

More I watch this game, more you can see a mental shift in this French team. In a short past, when all the 50/50 ref calls were going against them, they melted under negative feelings. Now, despite being reduced to 14 during 20 minutes, they stayed concentrated and positive to valid the victory. I'm fascinated by the "sore grapes" attitude of the welsh fans, players and manager. Unfortunately, the footballization of rugby is in march.
Djezon 50/50 calls going against them? 😂 id call getting away with 2 penalty tries is the calls going their way tbh
I'd say it's maybe the cause of the Welsh "bad spirit" at the end of the game... The French played against the odds, didn't lose their mind and so, couldn't be penalized even more...
if you can't count on the French to self destruct, how can you win?
Kolerick Bloodmoon by the referee giving clear penalty tries?
@@Thefirespinproject there is rarely anything clear about a scrum... I, for one, wouldn't dare to give an opinion about who make a foul in any scrum, as it may be the defending team, of course, or the attacking one who benefit from the defending team penalized again...
also, the first yellow, is really... let's say strange (and in this scrum, a Welsh forward was, against the game law, holding Dupont so he couldn't move to attack the ball once it was "liberated"
also, when looking at slow motion, that last Welsh try wasn't one...
the referee wasn't that good in this match... I don't think he deliberately advantaged anyone, but he made questionable calls in favor of both sides...
@@Thefirespinproject Gosh, it's now 3 days and welsh fans still invent penalty tries just existing into their heads... You guys, have developed a new level of 'sore grapes" since few years. And regarding how lucky was Wales in the last contests vs France, these remarks are even more embarrassing.

@Captain Insano Shows no mercy You get over it, sore loser. And the next time we would also like a French referee during our matches. But OF COURSE an extremely professional and impartial one, just as the ones you have for commonwealth opponents.
@Captain Insano Shows no mercy Don't be so touchy captain of shitland, it's embarrassing. When the opponent is non-British, British means 16 against 15, if not 18 against 15. But of course, since you're part of this vast and old mascarade you won't tell, you probably do not even see.
@Captain Insano Shows no mercy "british means nothing in rugby" hum hum.... What about the Lions ?!?!
@Captain Insano Shows no mercy If you hate each other why you playing together in Brettish lions? in rugby there no really hate in Brittish country just rivalry in contrary then football. When I was watching the anthem to hampden park for Scotland/England, I was impressed by this atmosphere.
Ok welsh hard fans you need to explain to me how someone can do a deliberate knock-on without even looking at the ball or having the eyes closed when that happens
In the rugby laws nothing forbids to tackle someone because he's doing a pass
He knew where the ball was, he knew where the pass was going, he didn't need his head on the right side or even have his eyes open. He knew what he was doing. That sort of situation has many times resulted in a penalty try but also play on. As a Welshman I thought it should have been a penalty try, the French obviously would say play on. Neither is actually wrong, it just depends on the ref on the day
@@rhysjones3867 To have a knock on the ball HAS to move forward. The ball didn't make a forward motion when it was knocked by Wilemse, play on, then #2 kicks it back then #6 red kicks it forward into Wilemse's hands France won the ball.
Terrible ref, France won that ball fair but instead he gave a scrum to Wales that lead to a yellow card for Fra.
Watch everything at .25x speed.
If you had already played rugby in your life and you are not dumb you can perfectly imagine put your arms at the good place while tackling so that your opponent cant do a pass... thats what willemse did and well enought the bad referee did not gave penalty.
@@sulliq3534 preventing your opponent to do a pass when you tackle is one of the goals of tackling, if you dtill try to do a pass it misses i don't see anything that justifies a penalty there

It's good to see our team winning against Wales, it will be better if the referee was not so bad, from both side he made so much mistakes, unbelievable in a VI Nations game

Bibi 32 It was a forward pass...... it’s quite obvious
Wasn't a forward pass at all. Directly sideways. Forward momentum will always make the ball move forward after the passer has been tackled. But if you imagined he was still running forward, it wouldn't have looked like a forward pass. Unlucky for france to have such a great try taken from them. I'm Englsih but I am happy for France to take the grand slam this year.
I think the rule changed a little bit. In this exemple Vakatawa takes the ball in front of the player so it's a forward pass. The momentum is not an excuse anymore and it's from the players to actually take it in account. Unfortunately those passe tends to be more accepted depeding on which team is playing ;)

@@ethanmcmahon7343 not "clearly", it's not for nothing that it wasn't called during the action.
When we look at the motion and the direction of the ball, and seeing that Vakatawa was a bit behind when Bouthier threw the ball and Virimi received it behind, this looks rather flat (arguable but not clear).

@@yourdad6625 loosing control of the ball and grounding not as clear as the tmo says (bouthier hand under)
Regarding the potential penalty try I would have agreed, but while looking at it again Willemse had his eyes closed, then how would it be possible that the knock-on was intentionnal (again, subject to interpretation)
This is often 50-50 decisions here, benefitted both Wales and France at different times
The knock on decision on the try cost us the bonus point and the title

Now if Scotland can just get up there and perhaps Georgia be brought in as well as Italy we would have the best tournament by a country mile. The Rugby Championship should also expand to 6 teams.
"it's a classic gallic response", no sir just french flair...
1:06 "and it's Terry Boot yeah"
France is back
Since when do players wave their hands and exclaim to the referee each penalty? Is this normal for wales?
Aye, it's standard tactics for them.
No one can say that was not a penalty try because it was, ken owens was passing it to josh adams no one would have stoped josh he was clearly threw.
It wasn't
Fair play France was annoyed at first but u deserved it and hope you win the title
France is looking very good, wales gave it away... , six nation Champs.... Maybe....? Keep it up from sa.
Thank you for Paul Willems

Alun Wyn Jones in obstruction position again when Wales no.3 scored. He does this often
France gets a prop carded at the scrum. Wales get penned on the next scrum because the replacement prop kills the Welsh front row. 😆
Dim to go for a scrum
At 4:43 a French player on the ground has a clear handprint on his bum... LOL!
🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
That intercept was 14 points. It cost us the game. That simple. Ref was iffy but no more than usual. France GS; I think so now. Maturing like one of their wines.
I watched the game on an Italian channel. They basically said that the French got screwed many times: Aldritt's yellow card, Welsh disturbing the release of the ball on the French side, off sides. The refused try to Fickou is discutable because some other forwards have not been whistled on the Welsh side. And Above all, Biggar complaining all the time and not getting a yellow card. The forward following the intercept of Willemse is not voluntary. Finally, between the 60th and 75th, the Italian commentators were complaining that the ref gave the Welsh way many discutable penalties in their favor. Still you could have won, but what the French showed was much more enjoyable. I would have been highly disappointed to lose this one. Thx for your encouragement anyway.
4:36 How on earth can people say that was a deliberate knock-on?? The movement of the arm is clearly aiming at a tackle, the player is never looking at the ball, and the movement does not stop with hitting the arm. Nigel Owens explained it clearly some months ago
Yeah it's baffling. it MIGHT have been a deliberate knock-on, but there just isn't enough evidence to prove such a thing. If he fluffed the tackle but hit the ball then maybe. But he successfully landed the tackle and while doing so knocked the ball on. Not even close to a penalty-try.
Was an obvious deliberate knock on. The hands and arms were no way near where they should be in a tackle (compered to shoulder and at that height), the angles (shoulder to elbo, elbow to hand), the splayed hands, everything. I would expect anyone whos ever played rugby to recognise this
@@rahowherox1177 He's not even looking at the ball!!! How on earth can you consider it intentional???
Well done France!
Can someone explain the infringement that lead to the yellow card. Intentionally rotating the scrum to give advantage to blue?
Vive la France 🇫🇷😁
I hope another European team be added to this competition. Georgia, Russia, Germany and Spain look like the leading candidates at the moment.
2:21 can we talk about it ?
About what
wubaluba dubdub what do you mean what? It was a beautiful play! (Aside from that super slight knock on) a perfect example of recycling done right
Wasn't a forward pass. It was a side-ways pass but most people don't understand basic physics. The ball will keep moving forward even when thrown side ways. It's a sort of optical illusion when the passer gets tackled, it makes it seem forward due to them suddenly slowing down compared to the ball. The key is to look at the angle that it leaves the body, in this case a perfect 90 degrees from the front.
@@arandombard1197 I agree, however is the definition of a forward pass relative to the motion of the players, or relative to a stationary observer? I never really know which they officially use in rugby law.
@Captain Insano Shows no mercy I watched it in 0.25. It's certainly debateable but again it looks more like a forward pass because he is being tackled as he throws the ball and the ball maintains its forward momentum so it looks as if it is leave his hands in a forwards motion (in a way it is) but its still a sideways pass.
2 yellow cards, 1 try refused, 1 million gift penalty, play at home and still lose, O my god, that's the shame!!! I understand the unfair at the end...
France look a totally different side.
Wtf? They highlights are in the wrong order
What's the average age of the French team? I remember they had a very solid u20 team a few years ago.
They are like 24 on average
Not a few years ago. They won the last two world cups of this category.
Welsh sportsmanship : 1. accuse your opponent of cheating before the game even begins. 2. Flap your ams around and complain to the ref all game even though you are not the captain. 3. Lose the game and start handbags/fight at final whistle. 4. Complain after the game that you lost because of the ref.
As a frenchman, outside of les Bleus, I used to support whoever played against England. Not anymore. Now I'll support whoever plays against Wales.
@@arserobinson7118 and you reply with much grace. As to the frenchy, you gotta chill it's just a rugby game, I can understand the frustration when referring is bad but no need to go all out.
Pretty agree. Since the Warburton red card in 2011, the 20 minutes of scrums in 2017 and some unlucky defeats in the last 3 years, we discovered welsh fans are a disaster in the victory or the defeat. They even achieved to make England likeable, and it's an huge task.

France for the championship surely. Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if they lose to Scotland

Can you stop putting a snippet at the beginning and also stop giving a hint as to who wins in the thumbnail please? People watch these without knowledge of the game and giving hints as to who wins ruins the excitement.
Dan Biggar attitude is a disgrace to this sport especially his last move.
Some teams and fans stick to the gentlemanly code of rugby. Unfortunately there are a couple of home nations that act more like soccer fans than rugby fans.. mention no names
Very good game of rugby, terrible commentary, horrendous!
"..they've beaten Italy" , could be about anybody , just replace Italy with Georgia like in general clasification!
If you think the booing at the end is at France you are wrong there was a scrap going on at the end of the game and the fans from both sides were booing that
There's been a horrendous amount of anti-Welsh commenting from both English trolls and French idiots
Arse Robinson there always is mate, I’ve just put that up for the neutrals that weren’t at the stadium.
I thought it was a great game of rugby, officials could of been better and some scrappy moments here and there, other than that a good grudge match.
@@DaiViking what really lost us the game I thought were the silly errors on the fist try and the intercept try, schoolboy errors.
Arse Robinson agreed, if you watch the first try josh Adams drifts in to act as a block for Leigh, created enough space for a fucking bus to go round him, such a stupid error he had no reason to go for it as halfpenny has been a rock under the bombs.
As for the interception, if he passed it a second earlier it’s probably a try and even if he dummies the pass it’s a huge break.
Silly errors and for me it’s just not good enough, we need to start wanting to win every game!
