How sad, the end of an era. The only show I really think of a lot there is Bewitched, because I grew up watching that. This reminds me of when they knocked down the old MGM studio in Culver City. But they demolished that so they could build homes there. They started building homes before they were even finished demolishing everything. And you could see that demolition in the movie phantom of Hollywood. Good thing you're documenting this historic place. Your videos will be part of History forever❤

Growing up in the 70’s I spent a lot of time on the ranch, the then Burbank Studios & Universal. The ranch was all still an old west cowboy town. At some point (80?) they tore those sets down. The only fixture that survived that transition was the church in the southwest corner; it changed from old west to suburban America. When they tore it down there was much sadness and lament for film history but truth be told this stuff is all temporary. Cinema history is retained in the media itself and if we’re lucky surviving props & costumes…but backlots need to change from time to time. It’s just the nature of progress. Btw I was at Uni when the Spartacus sets came down. It wasn’t done for sake of progress but safety….it had started to collapse on its own…in the middle of an event. It’s fate was sealed then. The original phantom of the opera sets on the front lot however…that loss was a bummer. Taken down for Nintendo.
We wanted to go to the Ranch when we were in Anaheim for Oogie Boogie - no can do - we settled for the regular WB tour. Thank you for the one last look. 🙂
I loved The WB Television Network and it’s so sad to see the tear down. I grew up with the backlot breaks for shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville, Dawson’s Creek and other shows so just great memories of shows I loved. Ty for the videos @TheDailyWoo. Glad to see you’re still around and keep up the great work man!
Loving your videos Adam, some reason came up in my feed and have been enjoying them ever since for the past few weeks playing catch up… I’ve been loving your reviews of the Warner Brothers and other film studio sites, such a shame to see such history like this being erased from memory, so it’s good you’re putting videos like this together! I’ve just been back and watched the pretty fly for a white guy video as well!
Would love to buy the Christmas Vacation house and put it on a lot somewhere and rebuild it. SO SAD. My entire childhood movie history locations being erased from existence.
Hate seeing those movie houses being torn down. Especially the Griswold house ☹️~~ Hope the next flight to your destination 🌴 works out better for ya and ya mom. That stinks how you really can’t trust airlines like you used to be able to. Have a beautiful time when you finally get to Hawaii 🌴
This is so incredibly sad. So many movies and tv shows filmed there. Probably one of the most recognizable “neighborhoods”…I’d watch Jeannie and see the Bewitched house in the background. The Monkees romping through the park and standing on the fountain that became the Friends fountain…glad at least that was saved. I just think it’s a shame. 😢😢😢
The Warner Ranch, being redeveloped for today’s entertainment business! During your USH VIP Tour yesterday, the guide did say the studios share production property, so Warner Bros has made the business decision to do away with all of those facades that are used infrequently and replace them with soundstages built today’s standards. Perhaps someday you can make the Sony Studios complex the adventure venue. The studio complex in downtown Los Angeles. I compliment you for your calm demeanor towards the airline and their last minute cancellation. Such business behavior gives me angst and I have low tolerance for such unprofessional conduct. Nonetheless, hopefully they rebooked you for the same cost. Wishing you safe and snag-less travels to your destination! See you tomorrow.
Thank you sir for posting. So sad, many of my favorite television shows of the 1960's shot exteriors at that location. I understand the necessity of Warner trading the land for the former NBC lot but it feels like my childhood home is being wiped away
It looked like the Christmas vacation house Had the attic vent cut out the one that he pushes. Open to try and get their attention Before he sits up there and watches all the old family videos
Adam, when you had said "There it is," I knew right there you have read all your previous messages. Thank you, for showing that house for a good moment!
Change can often be sad and emotional" the fact that the buildings are going to be gone for ever is one thing, but if you think about how many celebrities who have passed through those gates who are also gone for ever is very powerful"! They will live on through film!👍😉✌️💯
I wonder if people are allowed to take portions of the houses for movie history? Example; the front door of the Griswold house...etc. A piece of concrete from the swimming pool? Screen used portions?
Surely the last Warner employees there 'had a field day' helping themselves. It's not stealing if the stuff is gonna be trashed, removed forever. And 'the workers' are giving it 'a proper home' (hopefully).
It’s so sad history needs to be preserved not forgotten I can’t stand this generation I’m 37 we just look at things as iPhones update upgrade not restore or respect the past it’s sad all this history for a sound stage that will run on computers with cgi not the beautiful landscapes and feel of realism capture of the audience has been destroyed for the last 20 years I only like movies from the 50s to the 80s some earlier
Wow, I had no idea they were tearing it all down! That is a crying shame. I feel like that's a historical landmark and should not be touched, but they own it so I guess they can do whatever they please. I remember watching an episode of 'California's Gold' with Huell Howser years ago and loved the little gazebo square. Lots of great film and tv history on that little studio lot! I live in the Valley and had no idea WB was leveling it. Kind of shocked right now. Anyways, thanks for sharing this Adam!
Adam, really enjoyed your awesome video! The end of that one house looked like the end of the Amityville house with those windows. Tell your Mom I said hello. Looking forward to your next awesome vlog.
It's also quite fitting that our last view of this place is also during a nice sunset. Our history torn down in the name of "progress". Looking good, Adam.
Thanks for the video; what a shame for them to destroy such a memorial place. So many popular shows were filmed here. Blodie, Father Knows Best, Dennis the Mennace, Hazel, Bewitched, The Middle, and at the entrance the service station was Ehlert Motors where Frankie Heck worked. The Heck's home was constructed after they moved the church to the back lot. Enjoy what you can today because it may not be there tomorrow. Nothing lasts in a temporary society.
Im surprised that they didn't remove the doors and windows on those sets, and donate them to Home for Humanity, or something similar. Those French doors were beautiful & some nice windows! Safe travels to Hawaii, Adam! What a wonderful example you are to honoring your parents. It doesn't need to be Hawaii, it could be anything really!!! 💖
With them all being very old fake facades, I wonder how useful they'd even be for a real house, probably would not be up to code or something. I'm surprised they did not rip them all out and auction them off as movie props lol.
THIS IS SAD! For someone who grew up watching Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, Hazel and The Partridge Family and lots of other TV shows filmed on this lot. I feel like they're tearing down my old neighborhood!

Thanks for posting! How sad. Esp. the trees. Nobody should rip out trees!
I live on the side of Verdugo, and I can hear it every morning tearing it down. Funny I was going to take a walk to take pics thanks for the video 😊
It looked like the Christmas vacation house Had the attic vent cut out the one that he pushes. Open to try and get their attention Before he sits up there and watches all the old family videos
Glad you documented this..
Watching Gremlins today
all safe travels Adam an Your mom .❤looking forward to what you have in store for all us
Good morning from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Mr Woo...My Late Grandma was there many times in the 50s from Portsmouth RI 🙏🌄🐻
Adam, when you had said "There it is," I knew right there you have read all your previous messages.
Thank you, for showing that house for a good moment!
Glad you were able to get some final shots of the ranch. Great episode Adam.
Thank you ! The history is there for us to see ❤
It’s all devastating. They should be preserving such iconic Hollywood history and still using it. Demolishing it for soundstage CGI🤦🏼♀️ such a shame
I was telling my daughter about this when you were there mts ago. She got to do some work on there ..Its so sad. Ty for showing us one last time
So sad to see movie & TV history being bulldozed. At least we've got your vlogs to reminisce to. Thank you for sharing with us Adam.
Wow thank you. Nostalgic. I as an extra in some of those sets years ago. Interesting
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
One more look for posterity before history is erased! They call it progress, I guess! Looking forward to your adventures with Mom! 🙂
This is beyond sad. Thank you for the update.
I wouldn't be surprised if that is happening. But maybe the workers had to sign an agreement to not do that. Who knows.
Surely the last Warner employees there 'had a field day' helping themselves. It's not stealing if the stuff is gonna be trashed, removed forever. And 'the workers' are giving it 'a proper home' (hopefully).
Bet you'll start seeing pieces of these places on eBay soon
So sad! Truly a tragic loss…
Big time
It’s so sad history needs to be preserved not forgotten I can’t stand this generation I’m 37 we just look at things as iPhones update upgrade not restore or respect the past it’s sad all this history for a sound stage that will run on computers with cgi not the beautiful landscapes and feel of realism capture of the audience has been destroyed for the last 20 years I only like movies from the 50s to the 80s some earlier
It actually was used in the Ryan Reynold's remake of Amityville
It's also quite fitting that our last view of this place is also during a nice sunset. Our history torn down in the name of "progress". Looking good, Adam.
Thank you for documenting movie history.
The Columbia Pictures Studio Ranch is almost gone.😢. Where are Samantha and Jeannie when they are needed.😋😋😋
That's why I get mad ...everything is garbage. Those windows and doors could have really helped others instead...just throw everything in the dumps
With them all being very old fake facades, I wonder how useful they'd even be for a real house, probably would not be up to code or something.
I'm surprised they did not rip them all out and auction them off as movie props lol.
Sad it's gone but glad you were able to document over the months showing the cycle.
