Decent sub obviously but as far as value mehh a bdc2 is same exact price on amazon and the AP is better in every aspect like cast basket and motor and suspension Way overpriced for it's budget features, sundowns budget sub is priced similar and a better value imo. But love the content👍

I've heard a lot of the sundown, skar and AP subs in both sealed SQ setups and big SPL setups the last few weeks as I'm looking to build a new system and the local bassheads have been doing demos for me. After hours of research and sitting in cars listening there's a reason the kickers and JLs cost so mucg more per RMS watt, and it's the difference in SQ. If I was looking to build a budget SQ setup I would go with an entry level CT Sounds or Skar in a sealed box, but they really don't have that same crispness as the Kickers or JLs, if the budget was a little bigger and your looking for SQ over SPL I'd go Kicker or JL.

I would think no but you could do a few of the most common bolt patterns, making the dustcap slightly crooked for some. Lmk if I need to better explain this. Btw, if you do choose to do this, first ask me about which is better and I'll tell you why.
its relaxing to watch subs flex
It really is!
Liked the video..i dont touch kicker until the solobaric...q class is nice..
Great video man! Another awesome little sub is the pioneer TS-A300D4 definitely maybe something you could review in the future as a good bang for your buck sub
You gotta love Kicker subs, the quality is always there and has been for years great review Parker💪
Thanks!
Thank you!!
For me it has been awhile sense I have been on your channel here. Just finishing repairing a old school Alpine amp MRP-M850 and she is on from a long sleep but anyways whats up..........
Hey Parker ! Love the videos man! Could you get the newest COMP R in ? Does it sound better ? Or is it just a new design ?
Review the deaf bonce apocalypse db sa 302
Decent sub obviously but as far as value mehh a bdc2 is same exact price on amazon and the AP is better in every aspect like cast basket and motor and suspension Way overpriced for it's budget features, sundowns budget sub is priced similar and a better value imo. But love the content👍
I agree man! The bdc2 is a steal
@@ParkerTheBasshead how does the sound quality differ on both ap and kicker?
@@paquesepas6696 I'm a bit of an audiophile with all studio gear in my home on Class A amps.
@@BlueTegu360 2 jl audio w7 13.5 subs on 2400rms was the best sounding setup I've ever heard. Too bad they are like 1500 each lol.
Hello there Parker, Thank you for your content.. what would you say, having 2 of this 12" 500watts kickers into a 1,200k rms watts Taramp ? Would it make some hard base ??
I just picked up a pair of these in 10” with the kicker 800w mono amp and a Best Buy sealed box. Sounds good. How much better are the Rockford Fosgate P3’s? I have a 1000w Rockford Fosgate Punch mono amp and was thinking about getting the P3’s to throw into a ported box I have on the way.
Nice video bro always waiting for another one
Which one sounds better the compvr or the comp r. I'm planning on buying some 10' but I'm not sure .?
Can you try nemesis audio
About to get 2 of these and run them on a skar 1200 amp
Back in the early 2000s comp vrs were on the same level as jl w3
In the 80's Stillwater Designs (Kicker) was top of the line.
Bro hi, your opinion which one should i go CompVR or Comp R?
I would go with the comp r
30 K is creeping up. Keep up the great work Parker.
Are the L'7s kickers better than the compR????
Another great video think ov investing in some ov these for the summer
I think the kicker compvx12s will smash them lows way better with a 750 rms rating. 28hz monster.
We will see!
Hey man, can you do a review of the Orion subwoofer line, I’ve got a 12 in 800 rms sub and I think it does quite well but I’d like you to review it also
Man I love this sub I actually bout one after watching this video so thanks bro
Commenting before watching i have a feeling this is gonna be decent
I just bought this model for $205 with the warrenty. So far breaking it in its sounding good i have it in a ported box 1600watt kicker amp. Turned down lol
putting 2 of these in my prius this weekend :)
I have owned every kicker speaker and subwoofers besides the square l subs they don't sound bad but definitely not worth the money been 100 percent more happy with audiopipe hands down
Mot worth the money? They're under $200 for a high quality 12 and under $150 for a 10 and they can handle a lottt
@@brandonpurple8938 they sound really good with rock and county but if ur looking for that bass that slaps ur chest kicker isn't it well I don't know about the L7 subwoofers I heard they are a lot better I had all the 12s they constantly stunk like burnt speakers never blew but always smelled they was annoying to me I guess everyone is different maybe I just got all bad one's I guess
Which kicker sub sounded the best to u
@@shane4663wouldn’t take his advice. Saying a sub sounds good only on certain genres of music means he doesn’t understand that’s all in the enclosure and not the sub. Kicker is good man. Get what u can afford tho. I’m currently running a comp r 10 in a box I built at 1 ohm on a d4s jp23 v2… a 2800w rms amp turned up a good bit and it’s handling it great. It’s just temporary til I have the funds for bigger subs but would recommend. The sub I’d recommend for around the $150 mark is skar ddx. Nothing like it for the price… ITS A SUNDOWN CLONE
you have missed the point of buying Kicker subwoofers,X or L7 squares are from another realm in comparison to the rest of Kicker line
Are you going to be covering the L7’s by any chance?
I have a question, why do people complain about a subwoofer not being stiff out the box but spend a week breaking it in at low power to loosen the spider? Would you rather spend a week breaking it in or throw power to it straight out the box? I'm just wondering!
Think these compare to p3 rockfords? I ran my 2 p3s 12s on 2k rms for over a year and they were fine
I run a single 10 on 1 ohm on a 550x2 rockford amp and it can take more than what my amp is giving it xD
Like always bro great job 👏 thanks for what you do
Picking up a new vehicle soon, I have a sealed box with 2 CVR15's subs that weren't really used too much in my old vehicle. Thinking of reusing them in the new SUV instead of buying new LT dual box... Will I need to upgrade the OEM 190 amp alternator and battery to run this??? 800 watt rms amp for the doors too... BIG 3 getting done too.. Thanx!!!!
Not surprised kicker is pretty good, thanks for the video brother........ next
you should review the kicker comp Q 12 inch sub or just the Q class in general
Wat do u think is better the 12" comp R's or the 12" comp C's ?
Or do u recommend the square L7 12 's?
Love it thanks bro. Keep the content coming👍
Thanks man I will!!
Did I hear the cvx is up next???!!!.....it's showtime!!!!!
Yessir ordered it yesterday!
Do u think the square subs are better?
You should review the top of the line kicker Q12.
For a single 10. Not optimized enclousure oversized cabin and hit up to 140. On a SQ. Sub. And people want to call it weak ??? Its a all around. Sub. Can play. anything it dont care some of the subs you want to compare this kicker too. Are one hit wonders. Anything out side of gilligan. They suck. At least the kicker can play anything you throw at it. And do it Accurately
And they last forever. I still hsve my 1987. 10'. Kicker. Gold series one. just fingered some right stuff on the surround a month ago built a behined the seat box for my 96 f350. 1.39. cf 24 inch x2x5 slot port. That old dusty. Kicker sounds great. Low 130s. On 50 watts. In the mid 30 hrts zone playing judas priest victom of changes its. 37 years old.!! Not every one eants to listen to Gilligan. 24/7 just somthimg to consider when. Picking a sub. I was a installer. Years ago and was a judge at the alpine nationals in atlanta when all. this started So i go way back 🖖
People is just dumb. At least the latest version of the compr is fantastic
Thank you.! I have an 09 Lexus ES350. Do you think it’s a good buy.?
Look at sinful sounds or unlawful sounds for us parker, I've heard nothing but good about them but they are fairly unknown brands so get em out there for us bro
I’ve got a kicker cxa800.1 amp paired with 2 12” kicker comps. I want to upgrade the subs for something stronger, should I go with comp vr or comp r. My amp is 800 watts so not sure if going with comp R is the right pairing since they are 500 rms each
Do You recommend it?
Please review the CVX 12" for the Brazilian Family 🙏🏼
