your showcases are always great to watch!
i went for the xcaliber 9 instead of the procaliber. the carbon didnt feel worth it for lower specs in other areas.
Yeah, you really have to step up to the 9.8 Supercaliber, in my opinion, to make it worth the cost. Thanks again for the continued support brother and adventure safely.
My 2021 Top Fuel 9.8 is 26 lbs & is an absolute rocket. It can be raced, jumped & can handle extremely technical trails, I’ve had many high end bikes & this is the best bike I’ve ever owned, currently I also have a Stache 9 & 2023 Farley 9.6, I rotate bikes & it keeps things fresh, nice comparison, both are very nice bikes!
My friend, we appreciate you taking the time to watch as well as leaving your feedback. My compliments on the stable of bike you have. I agree with the rotation to keep things fresh. Thanks again, my friend, and adventure safely.
I am blessed to own them both ..
Yes, you are my friend. Thank you for taking the time to watch and adventure safely.
Is it possible to build out a Gen 4 Top Fuel in carbon that would place it in the 27 lb range and compete in local XC events? Spend the extra $ to max the Gen4 potential 🤔
The new top fuel is not marketed as a race bike. It's marketed as a light trail bike or "downcountry" bike. You could race the top fuel but thats not the intention with the new geo/beefiness.
Hey Eric, thanks for taking the time to watch and leave feedback. Both are appreciated.
My opinion is that it's all MTBing, and we need to stop creating different classifications and just ride. That being said, yes, Trek wants to market this new-gen TopFuel as a trail bike more than a racer. For me, I'd ride it like I stole it on any terrain or course. 😉
Thanks again for the support Eric and adventure safely.
Nice video again, thanks for the comparison. I drove both and decided, for the terrain in Holland, that the Supercaliber is way more nimble. Both great bikes though, but one suited my needs better.
That is awesome to hear, Ben. Thank you for sharing your experience with us as well as for watching. Both are appreciated. Adventure safely.
Hi Guys,
Like all your videos 👍🏼Top Fuel is a good entry level for Florida Trails or what type of bike you guys recommend?
Hello Jorge, thank you for watching and asking your question. We appreciate the support.
I believe the Top Fuel or the Fuel EX would be a great choice for the Florida trails. The new Gen Fuel EXs are the real deal. The TF will be a little more efficient, while the Fuel will give you more versatility.
I hope this answer is helpful, my friend. Again, thank you for your support. Let us know which one you choose, and adventure safely.
I am enjoying your channel. Would love to see this video, comparing the topfuel to the Fuel ex
@@GetOutArizona Thanks!
@@ireddie Thank you, Eddie; your support and feedback is appreciated.
I will make that video if both bikes are in stock this Thursday when I return to Trek. Thanks for the suggestion, my friend, and adventure safely.
"down country" and different classifications help buyers. I want to ride the bike that is meant for the terrain I ride.
Brian, I hear you, and thank you for your feedback and watching the video. I feel people get caught up too much in classifications; singletrack this, XC that. I think people should ride and have fun. Though I fully respect people wanting a segmentation of rides. Thanks again, my friend, and adventure safely.
Top fuel 8 or Top fuel 7? Same bikes? Whats the biggest difference between those 2 machines. Thank you.
It would be the groupset. The Top Fuel 8 will have full XT and should have a better shock and rim set as well. On Trek's website, you can do a side-by-side comparison of both bikes for a more in-depth analysis. Thank you for taking the time to watch and ask your question, my friend.
@GetOutArizona Thank you brother. I found a new 2023 Crimson TF8 with 120/120 travel for 3300 dollars.
@@MikP86 Sweet, that is awesome. Keep us posted on how you're enjoying the new ride.
Hey Brandon, which model year is the fastest top fuel as an xc bike?
Probably a 2023 or 2024 when it comes out.
Brandon loves his 2019. The others are no slouch, but the 2019 is his favorite.
Once again, Trek is changing these bikes. The Top Fuel is getting heavier, while the Supercaliber Gen 2 is now a 80mm/110mm (R/F) travel bike. Reach is has grown on the Super and the geometry on both bikes has become slacker.
Indeed, they have, and I would suspect they will continue to change them as long as the expectations of what these bikes are capable of doing grow. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment my friend.
@@GetOutArizona Yeah, I just built an XTR and paid attention to the weights as building and MTBR folks weren't impressed and reacted like, "big deal, why is it so HEAVY." They had no idea how much heavier the new frames are. 🙃
Can you do a review of the "2024" Supercaliber 9.9 SLR?
Hey Ray, as soon as we get one in the shop, you can be assured that we will be doing a review. Thanks for taking the time to watch as well as leave your suggestion. Both of them are sincerely appreciated.
when are 2023 supercaliber coming 9.8
I wish I knew my friend. As soon as they arrive, we will do a bike showcase about it.
Thanks .great videos
