This is probably the best video I have seen on youtube for a setup like this.......exactly what I have been looking for as I begin trying to build my own setup
Any chance you can add a parts list to the description of this video please? Merry Christmas. Great simple set up from what I can tell. By chance...do you also mix your own liquid cloride? if you have a brine maker...can we get a video on your set up for that possibly? Been researching this stuff for the last two days. your sprayer system seems to be an economical solution. IF you have a brine maker as well....id love to see that!
I did put notes and part numbers in text throughout the video. The rest would be non-specific odds and ends. We do not mix our own chloride. There is a place nearby that delivers it pretty reasonably.
@@danczuba thanks for the info. Can you do me a favor? I don't have an IBC tote, but do have a few other clear water/herbicide tanks. Can you provide the dimension needed to get that pump down thru a lid instead of having to cut an opening? i cant cut a separate opening into my tanks without ruining them for other purposes (which I dont want to do)....thanks! I didnt find the pump dimensions on amazon.
Using the 7-way plug is there a way to also use the brake light power or in some wiring the reverse to break the constant power to the pump? I'm looking for an inexpensive way to have the setup triggered by stopping and reversing. Is this possible?
okay I feel dumb asking this but I have no prior experience with wiring. How do you wire the 7 way trailer plug into the wireless receiver? There are 7 different wires coming out of this thing so I'm not sure how to do this! Thanks!
All you need is the 12v constant at the 1 o'clock position, and the ground at the 7 o'clock position as you look at the vehicle side of the trailer connection.

Love this idea! Glad I ran across this video!
Great Idea! Thanks for sharing
Real nice ;)

I know it fits nicely through a 16 in tank opening. The pump itself is probably around 8 in in diameter.

You would need a 12 volt momentary relay to temporarily "break" the power to the pump when you apply the brakes.

@@danczuba okay thank you so much! Feel free to make fun of me for this! Haha!
Any issues with the calcium eroding that pump? Id worry if its submerged in calcium it would eventually eat away at it.
The pump is plastic and stainless steel. Going on third season with same pump
Do you have baffle balls in the big tank?
I installed corrugated drain tile to reduce sloshing
Hi where do you get the calcium chloride?
Midwest Dust Control
What is a mixture ratio
32%
