  • Chelsea VS. Brighton predicted lineup | Premier League (EPL). Thomas Tuchel's lineup selection for the Premier League game against Brighton has become even trickier, given the absence of Thiago Silva and N'Golo Kante, both of whom joined Ben Chilwell on the sideline. The players that will be available for selection may include Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Malang Sarr, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Ross Barkley, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Mason Mount, Reece James, Cezar Azpillicueta, Romelu Lukaku, and Callum Hudson-Odoi. However, following Chelsea Perspective approach, Coachila predicts the lineup based on current form and the players that are readily available.

Big up Brother. Great Line-up Prediction that again! The only changes I'd make is: Mendy instead of Kepa despite the former's recent mistake (I understand he may be going for AFCON early next week only) Also Kovacic to be LCM as he's a natural there + may be instructed to protect Alonso. I'm a bit concerned about Azpi's lack of consistent game time & I won't be surprised if Reece James/Alonso is given a rest at some point during the game, if possible. Pulisic finally had a good game so hoping for him to come on as well. UTC, 2-1 to CFC.

I think you make great sense of the midfield structure so that Alonso will be protected. However, I think Alonso will be better protected by Jorginho, who is more defensively minded than Kovacic. And you are correct about Azpi’s lack of game time, and I am beginning to think that he may start the game, but we will see. This is a delicious comment, by the way.

I think it could be good to try pulisic in the LWB position

He could do well there since they don't primarily defend. Welcome to the channel, and please, feel at home.

Senegal's match in AFCON is on Jan 10th. So I think Edou Mendy will play a few more games. He's expected to be around when we play Liverpool.
I do understand why you want Kepa to start though.
Will be interesting to see if Callum starts considering he played the whole match v Aston Villa. But if he doesn't start, Pulisic? 🤔
    Or Ziyech if he's fit.

Pulisic is obviously the next person in line if Callum doesn't start. But I think Callum will start.

Here is the thing, Vignesh, we don't Kante, which leaves our defense vulnerable. So, I don't think Tuchel would risk anything.

Ha!…you’re stubborn on the Kepa thing eh. TT will only bring him in when he has to, cause his pecking order with Mendy is established. James, Mount and Jorginho will get rested cause they were close to being liabilities last game

You make great sense. However, I'd argue that Thomas Tuchel wouldn't want to risk it, given the Charity FC factor. Again, Tuchel does what he wants.

@@terrilouisemarsden2621 It would help if you showed him that you trust him and that he is not starting because Mendy has traveled. Besides, he's done very well in the games he's played.

@@ChelseaPerspective yes I trust in him anyway. Lampards zonal marking and constant changing of defenders didn't help Kepa anymore than Lampards man management being useless. This was shown by defenders too. I will expand in the show of me comparing managers.
