They do have Vietnamese cabin crew onboard, thats why I chose EVA
I once flew from MSP to LAX, and LAX to TPE, and TPE to BKK. Basically, a lot of flying. I flew on Air China 747-8, which was pretty nice. The bathrooms were amazing clean and even had bird noises to make you feel 30,000 feet closer to the world. In economy, there was a 3,4,3 seat pattern. The IFE was entertaining and had many movies. Good WiFi, charging ports, and food for a 14 hour flight. TPE is very nice and very modern, so that was enjoyable to.

I took the same flight in September 2015 as a conection flight from L.A. to Vietnam, EVA staff was always friendly it does not matter if you are flying on economy or first class they were always so nice with me, some American lines their staff is really rude sometimes specialy with people flying on economy

Cheaper but still get 5* service! Many Vietnamese do prefer EVA cuz it has VNese cabin crew! I went with CPA 15 years ago and the service was awesome!

In response to query from Jazzyjon30---I've flown EVA and China Airlines many times during this route to know two hot meals are served with a sandwich snack in between. EVA used to be the preferred choice to Taipei, but CAL has cleaned up their act tremendously in last few yrs and now rivals EVA, perhaps even excelling in terms of service. Eva has not made many changes or upgrades which has left room for CAL to catch up. CAL will also be upgrading their fleet to the much anticipated Airbus 350 aircraft for LAX-TPE route starting fall 2018.
I am a pilot and I feel safer on Boeing. The only thing I want to fly over the ocean that is not a 777 would be a 787.

Nice trip report! The cabin was beautiful with moodlighting. The food on EVA is not the best. What I like most when flying with them is the comfortable economy seats with very generous legroom
For me Korean and Qatar have better inflight meal service than Eva Air, but EVA has a very good ground staff service from both LAX and TPE, even in Vietnam.
Nice leg room. I am booking! The flight I am looking at goes to Chiang Mai Thailand via Air Canada for under 2 hours and then a long flight with Eva.

Great vid, wish that I made one on my Eva flight. They provide the best routes for decent$$ for me between West coast USA and se Asia. I'm 6'1, 34in inseam and had about 4 inches between my knees and the seat back and could fully stretch out beneath the seat. Cute, and professional flight crew, good IFE, decent meals and #5 airline in the world. The clincher of course is the boarding/landing music

Im wondering why this airplane took the southern route, there must be the jetstream flying to west. usually westbound routes goes over the bering sea (alaska). Eastbound would be ove that southern route. Or am I wrong?

Jazzyjon30 I was only 20 when I was onboard that flight so I couldn't drink any alcohol but I could sleep during the flight because the seat next to me was empty so It was very spacious for me, especially with my leg. Anyway, thanks for watching!
Jazzyjon30 of course you can have unlimited alcohol (If you want to) and they served dinner and breakfast on my flight.

what time was your flight out of LAX, wondering since you got dinner and breakfast
First meal was around 1 or 2 hr after take off time and last meal was before 3 or 4 hr before landing
BR15 typically departs around 12:30-12:45AM from LAX and food service 1-2 hours later

Eva Air is pretty good, Ive flown them twice in the past year and Im about to take my third next month, nonetheless, 14 hrs stuck in an economy seat is so agonizing. Really dreading my next flight out .

Being a passenger of this airlines before, do they give you anything such as slippers or toothbrushes, etc? I’m asking because I didn’t see any of that while I remembered I did.
slippers are in the seat pocket and toothbrush in the WC.
Not only toothbrushes, there are hand lotion and nicely scented face splash in the restroom. Their service is excellent.

Wished you had panned your camera longer over each of the meal items, you rushed that part too quickly! Next time please don't rush your camera when food is served. Passengers are curious if the airline serves crappy or decent food. Looks like EVA Air has upgraded their meal service in Economy, even Real utensils, not plastic!

it depends on the flight, but usually you will have two options of meal and the dessert will include in that meal.
Franklins Scott Thwy don't usually have menus on economy class, though they give you - choices and they ask you what they want, they do have TV episodes in the IFE systems, and (at least kn the long haul flights) serve 2 times in flight.
