- Chiang Mai is known for its abundance of Buddhist wats throughout the city. These temples range from small and humble to vast and gilded. In this video we take you to three distinctly unique wats to learn some of their history as well as some tips for visiting.

Yeah, feeding fish at a monastery! Temples are such a part of Thai culture that you find a fascinating intertwining of the sacred and the ordinary.

This is really great to see! I was in Chiang Mai a while ago, but I think I spent too much time trekking, drinking, watching Thai boxing etc...so I might have missed the temples! Whoops. A reason to go back....
