    I won't go on since I've also mentioned it in several of my previous videos (this one makes another), but it matters so much what you put INTO your body-and what you avoid, too! Lifestyle factors such as avoiding refined sugars and processed foods, not smoking or drinking, and eating a diet rich in essential fats & proteins while incorporating an abundance of colorful vegetables each and every day-in addition to practicing meditation and yoga every day, plus getting adequate rest-will drastically affect your skin! Our consistent habits are arguably more impactful than any topical products applied TO the skin. Be mindful of what you expose yourself to. Be mindful of your food choices. Practice a sustainable, sound form of stress management. Treat yourself kindly. Feed yourself nourishing, nutrient-dense foods, and you will reap the benefits-both internally and externally. People will ask you, “What’s your secret??” And you can proudly tell them: “I take care of myself really well!”

    I use those gloves to! I’m Arab and skin care is so important to us. My mother had me exfoliating and moisturising from day one, and always with dove soap. I still can’t comprehend that people shower with just their hands. I don’t feel clean until I’ve scrubbed all over. When I’m still wet I put almond oil all over like Mama taught me, then when I’m dry I use a moisturiser, usually Aveeno or Body Shop Shes Butter because they have subtle clean scents :) I admire how minimalistic your regime is. I aspire to be as simplistic and attentive in my approach to self care when I’m your age! You glow inside and out xx

      @Cherry coke babe I loooove going to hamams, we used to go before weddings. Those gloves might be my favourite product ever, they make such a difference to your skin tone and I just feel so much brighter. I think with olive/yellow skin tones it's so easy to look dull, but those gloves save me for sure.

      @@sharroon7574 haha i can imagine its rough on sensitive skin, but honestly when you use a lot of soap your skin is really lubricated and it doesn't scratch like you think it would. Any exfoliation is fine though!

    • @Fifi-jb3yx
      @Fifi-jb3yx Před 4 lety +2

      @@normakarina5123 i don't think so, the skin on your body isn't as sensitive as your face, I think the exfoliation is actually good for blood circulation and cell turnover. You should try and melt it into your routine if your worried, use it once a week and see how you react. I think it's best to use it if you aren't white, because it has such a big impact on skin tone, but if your pale you might not see a difference (other than less ingrown hairs). Just make sure to moisturise.

    I am 61 and have been taking care of my skin since I am 12 both by diet and by good skin care, and it shows. I also was not a sun worshiper like many of my friends of that era because I had a feeling that it was not a good idea. Keep going with what you are doing, it does pay off.

    I use hydroboost as a very affordable and effective body serum prior to putting on lotion. I’ve noticed a major difference to my dryness prone skin. The body gel cream is basically just emollients, if it’s used as a stand alone it can take the moisture out of your skin. That’s why I seal it in with a lotion. It’s perfect that way.

Rich in ceramides, 10% urea, niacinamide and sa :) also loved your thought about water and the fact that skin hydration its much more complex than drinking water. Healthy moisture barrier is crucial, and that comes from good diet and good skin care! X

I've been using them on less sensitive areas, such as my legs, and they are so soft and shine! HydroBoost is very good and that’s actually how you supposed to use - to use under your moisturizer! It helps with trans epidermal water loss, and moisturizer is kind of seals it all in place:)

    Keep preaching Jennifer. I forget sometimes and need the reminders, thank your for sharing💕. I really appreciate your content. Fellow Dove soap lover here. While mom was in hospice care after her stroke, the team of Dr's and nurses always asked what she used to bathe herself. It was Dove soap. Even as she lay in that condition her skin glowed. Dove for the win. Haven't found anything better. Rest easy mom and dad🙏

    Hi Jennifer, I adore watching your lovely and helpful videos since I first discovered your channel.
    If I may ask, is there a reason why you did not include topical vitamin c or any other antioxidants in your skincare routine?
    Thank you, and here's to our wonderful health, both inside and out.

    Beautiful video! You are so lovely, beautiful, intelligent and down-to-earth; I just adore your content.
    Regarding food, I have been making a fabulous vegetable soup and homemade broth. I use kelp sometimes, and nori sheets other times. Do you eat much seaweed/kelp? What do you think of tofu? I eat a primarily plant based diet, but I do eat eggs, salmon, seafood; I consume beef once or twice a month for the iron and the protein-- I am 57 years old and still get my period regularly-- so I feel it is beneficial.

    Thanks for sharing ❤️ Recently started using Amlactin, the original green pkg after you mentioned it, and I like it a lot. Simplicity is good, but I find myself adding more actives such as peptide, niacinamide, antioxidants, serums...on my face as I get older (in my early 50’s) ㅠㅠ
    Btw, have you tried Vanicream gentle facial cleanser? My new favorite ! I think you’ll like it 🥰

    The hydro boost works wonderfully paired with a secondary moisturizer although it’s not marketed this way.....in other words you would apply the hydroboost to damp skin and layer a thicker more emollient/occlusive moisturizer like the cetaphil over top to seal it in.
