Yes, the brackets can be positioned this way. We have moved it to the other side a few times

New subbie! I have a question ! I think you inadvertently answered it but…. I found a kivik for sale on Facebook but they have the sofa with both arms attached and the chaise with no arms in another corner , can I attach the chaise to the sofa by moving the arm to the chaise and connecting the chaise to the sofa? Maybe by purchasing some extra hard ware from ikea or finagling it together with clamps or L brackets ?
There is a bracket it comes with to do that. I can post a photo of it sometime later this weekend. I just happen to be away this morning.

I don't think so, I wouldn't suggest it. The cushions stretch it too.

How the hell did you put the chaise' cover on?? Mine feels like is 10cm short and cannot make it fit!
A lot of pulling and stretching but we’ve done it many many times.
