- I have a brief discussion about my Romanian reinforce platoon I took to the Las Vegas Open!
I didn't get to talk about the hobby side of the army as I had to do a last minute list change and paint up a tankette, but the army includes miniatures from:

Very nice Army!!! I own a Romanian Tournament Army myself and absolutly love them. For the next Event you could change the Renault for a TACAM R2 with a versatile light howitzer/Medium Atg. They are way better and can fire indirectly with your howitzers together. A nother Option to optimize could be your Panzer III. Its a very nice tank after the faq but you could also take the M42 Polizei Panzer from the Fortress Budapest Book. This Tank has 20 MMG shots instead of 18. Never the less your Army looks awesome and i wish you good luck in your games and in the Painting Competition.
Oh man I wish I knew about the R2! I knew it was an option but missed that it had a versatile gun!
Very interesting to see competitive builds. I'm surprised at the lack of LMGs in the infantry squads.
outside German lists LMGs are overpriced, except in Veteran squads.

I have a large Romanian Army as well. Where did you get that R-1 Tankette?!?!?! It looks GREAT!!!! I MUST HAVE ONE TOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Thank you! It’s a 3D print, I believe from Wargaming 3D. I did kitbash the commander on there, though!

Beautiful army, it looks fabulous. It seems daft that there are no armoured cars for the Romanians. I have three Tatra OA vz30 armoured cars in my Bolt Action Romanian army as a Tank Platoon. The Romanians also used over 100 captured Soviet armoured cars - principally BA10.
Yes! Unfortunately Romania’s rules are quite dated and could use an update as I think they are becoming a more and more popular faction. Thank you for the kind words!
@@scalehistoryslc819 I wrote my own Romanian list for 1941, including Inexperienced Infantry, Assault Engineers and armoured cars. A lot of the Bolt Action lists are daft - the Soviets can have Panzerfausts in Stalingrad. I complained to Warlord Games two years ago about how bad the Romanian list is, but it never even got FAQ'd. So the Romanians can still have panzerfausts and a Panther tank in 1941! Most importantly, did you enjoy the Las Vegas Open and how did you get on?
@@Swindondruid2 I had two wins, a draw and two losses. I learned a ton as I made a ton of mistakes in those draws and losses so I’m anxious to go to another event and redeem myself haha! The list performed well but I would remove the R35 as it had too many liabilities like the one man turret rule

@@scalehistoryslc819 it's also cool the incorporated Soviets and Romanians - kinda similar to your previous army video. It's amazing the expansive lists for each army. One of my favourites is the defecting Hungarians who identified themselves with a small red armband of German para colours to show thag they're friendly towards the Soviets. They'd rather be on the the winning side than sent to the gulags in Siberia.
@@scalehistoryslc819 also another question is where did you find the arms or models with the MP 41 Sub guns? They're really good looking.

Just found myself building a Romanian Army. I wanted to do something Axis but didn't want to go to the usual suspects! Easyarmy lists a number of stuff that seems great but when I've dug deeper (got the codex!) it comes up short or at least confusing/misleading. How can you take an R1? You mention the Stalingrad book (as does easyarmy) does this add it to the army list?
Romanians are super fun, great army choice! Yes, additional units in the campaign books add new units to the army list. The Fortress:Budapest book is a must buy if you’re a Romanian player
When I see stuff like this, I wish I lived in America. I'd love to play my Hungarians against your Romanians
