You’re definitely no idiot. Speak only positively about yourself. You’re a nice guy that is giving it your best, and that’s what counts! You are probably correct on thinking that it wasn’t properly adjusted originally, or they road the clutch in the past. I’ve noticed in some farm videos where guys will drop a ripper or chisel all the way down and let out off the clutch and it makes me cringe. I personally never touch the clutch while the implements in the ground unless it’s an emergency. I make sure the tractor is rolling and is near proper rpm before I set the tool down, and I raise it up and throttle down before clutching. Clutching in full pull mode is a sure fire way to smoke any clutch. I don’t think the average person realizes how much heat is created when the clutch is improperly used or out of adjustment and how much it shortens its life.

If that setup is just like a typical semi, I would also replace the clutch brake thats on the input shaft of the trans. @@jtsbarnngrill6873 I checked the sediment bowl and it had a little bit of gunk in it I will check the carburetor and take the plug out and see if the fuel comes out and then I will take the sediment bowl off and clean up really good and then put it on and see what happens
Hey JT I got some good news I finally got the Massey Ferguson super 90 gas tractor running I fixed the needle and seat I looked over the whole carburetor I fixed it up and now it's start right up every time Im so I happy I got it running good it should be good to go now I love your videos JT I love watching you work on old tractors you do a great job keep up the good work
Not much room in there to work JT! You must have skipped Thanksgiving desert! Lol! Too bad they didnt design it to come out the bottom. I suspect at this point you are having more appreciation for MF.
The MF is certainly easier to do this job on 😆. Hopefully I’ll never have to drop the trans on this one again lol
7:59 Stop! This is where you go lop the heads off one or two 3-6" long bolts. Trust me... you will need them when going back together anyway. Oh and make another set for your fly wheel. That's the bastard that want's to take fingers and toes off.
Right on! I’ve read that a few studs can make this go much more smoothly!
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 Well that got awkward in a hurry. LOL.
😬. Now that I read that a second time…🤦🏻♂️lol
😂
Beat the snot out of crappy pilot bearings.
That one needed an extra smack 😆
I look forward to you removing the broken bolt......
🤣😂
Surprisingly… I just walked it out with vise grips!! I couldn’t believe it
J.T, GO GET YOUR WIFE, SHE PROBABLY LIFT IT UP AND OUT. 😊😊
Its was easyer to pull the engine out and than remove the clutch.
I commented on that a few lines down. In my case I did it the easier way
Are those fasteners on that tractor American or communist size??
Those were all 9/16 and 5/8.
No communist bolts here 😆
You're a far cry from an idiot JT- I think you've done great with the removal- keep up the great work
Thank you!
