- Castle Rock is considered to be one of the oldest lookout points near St. Ignace. It towers an incredible 195 feet above water level, offering a scenic and inspiring view for up to 20 miles, featuring Mackinac Island, Lake Huron, and wildlife habitat. Join us as we climb this roadside tourist attraction and visit Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe. We might even see Bigfoot!

A very interesting place....a small forest that is very beautiful....the view is very beautiful... This is a place that is very worth visiting...
It's definitely an interesting place to stop at while driving. I think we stopped off here after visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (a lesser-known but stunning national park).

Those stairs can get you winded, but we noticed that we handles them much better than when we first went in 2019. All that hiking we've been doing is paying off!
Lots of stair steps, tiring if you're out of shape. The view is really beautiful. All the tiring steps are all worth it. Thumbs up! 57

I was just up at Boyne Mountain a couple weeks ago for a week, and we were planning to get to this rock. Unfortunately, I forgot about it and didn’t go. It was only an our drive from Boyne Mountain, so we should have made it. Now I’m sorry we didn’t go.
I'm sorry that we didn't do Boyne Mountain or Skybridge. These are ideas for a future trip to Michigan, maybe next summer.
