An exotic evergreen shrub Native to Japan and North Korea.
Leaves fro up to 45cm in diameter.
Height and spread under correct conditions 2.0m to 4.5, with 10 to 20 years.
Produces small white flowers and black berries in the Autumn. The berries are not edible.
Like Moist free draining soil, not waterlogged, not chalky soil.
Likes full sun and partial shad and will tolerate full shade.
Tolerates windy and coastal sites.
Wear gardening gloves as the plant may irritate sensitive skin.
