I am in Scotland to do wildlife photography and landscape photography together with Nikon and a film crew from Beyond Content. The purpose of this trip is to make some content for the Nikon Europe CZcams channel and to try out the new Nikon Z 400mm for wildlife photography.
For the first time I am publishing a video on my channel that is not filmed and edited by myself - this video is made by the passionated and very friendly crew from Beyond Content.
In the video I am photographing with Ricci who is a Nikon School Teacher.

I am in Scotland to meet up with Nikon and the Landrover team. We are going to photograph wildlife with some new equipment and there will be a film crew covering the 5 days.
I went to Scotland 6 days in advance to visit the Cairngorms to try my luck with the mountain hares but I did not see any.
I met up with my friend Joanna and we used her campervan as a basecamp for 3 days.
Together with her, I spent a few days in Glen Etive trying to photograph the Stags. They were very skittish though so I had to use my car as a photo blind.
After saying goodbye to Joanna I headed to another location to meet up with Ricci from Nikon School, Beyond Content and a Nikon PR representative.
Together we spent five days photographing landscapes, wildlife and trying out the new Nikon Z 400mm f/2,8.
I did some interview for the Nikon CZcams Channel and for Nikon Scool.

My name is Morten Hilmer and I am a professional nature and wildlife photographer.
I am a Nikon Ambassador and I work as an ILCP photographer.
Nature conservation is very close to my heart.
I have served in the Danish military special unit, the Sirius Patrol, for two years and that has given me the skills and confidence to operate alone in the arctic regions.

A fresh breath to your channel but I kind of like more the videos where you film everything yourself (I know it's a lot of work). However, I wouldn't mind more collaborations like this. Thanks for sharing!

agreed, i prefer Morten's gentle editing much more - this looks too "instagrammy"...
Yeah, color grade looks over saturated and too blue. I also prefer Morten’s usual look to the video. Also, there’s a bit too much slomo in this video for my tast. But other than that, I enjoyed the video
Agreed, i like the original Morten Style much more. The slowmotion and the subtile showing of trademarks and Logos is a bit too much like a comercial. Especially the scene with those many Landrovers is not Morten Style.
Just my opinion....
@@Merijn_Huysmans Yep I agree on that. The look is different. Morten's subtle colour grades are much better in my opinion. :)
I completely lost track of time watching this video. It was a pleasure following two truly dedicated photographers at the top of their game.
Two of the photographers I respect the most, working together. It doesn't get much better than this!

I left Nikon just after the D4 to move to Fujifilm. I never looked back..... but boy. The Z9 blows me away. What a monster. I love it. And I love in your hands. Awesome vid

That was a very interesting video, Morten! Definitely slightly different than the usual kind of films that you got us used to seeing here but i really did enjoy watching 😊I am extremely happy that you're getting the recognition from the right brands and right people that you deserve so much!

Morten was remarkably calm when he discovered his laptop wouldn’t turn on. I hope his external drives managed to survive. The weather in Scotland is challenging but also very rewarding. It seems like Morton’s gear gets soaked with rain in almost every video Morton uploads . I loved seeing Ricci’s beautiful images.

Great to see you enjoying all the weather that Scotland can throw at you. My dad used to be a mountain guide based in Torridon and its a great place to photograph red deer stags.

A little bit different, more tempo( its not necessary) and I like the slowmotion. think you have a bit different color grading to. this is a balance act to keep your heart in the video, but you have to listen to the sponsor to. Its a good video, just amazing film on the animals, majestic. and its nice to have a sliding camera capturing you sometimes when you have a camera crew. good job.
