the active ambient lighting is an option, this one just has the basic a.l. fitted... but it's available on the 220d

Ah ok, but what is the goal? On time consumption doesnt say anything about the engine. Imagine the terrain going downhill or uphill. @@v12-s65

as far as I know he always does this test on the same piece of Autobahn. So most of the time it's rather accurate. You can compare the consumption with other vehicles he has reviewed and compare if it consumes less at 120 for example or more

I am starting to think that the Audi A6 isn’t a bad car after all, I mean this new E class is a big jump forward for innovation but the price and engine choices aren’t good and it’s the biggest problem with it, otherwise it’s a really good car!
You need a diesel in car like this. You need torque when you fill the car with passengers and heavy things in the boot

You are right! I went recently to a MB dealer for a 2024 fully loaded E class 220d rwd and it was 102k! With a dumb 5/6% discount. I mean it’s a cool car but for a 2.0 l4 rwd 220d is way too much!
Fuel economy is not the best. Maybe because of the winter tires.
Yeah 60mpg at 74mph is shockingly bad. My diesel truck does a better job!

Checked this car out at the dealership past saturday and it sadly feels really cheaply made. Flimsy climate vents, hollow sounding arm rest storage cubby, the bad controls and such just make this seem like it's supposed to be a c class. I'll take the 5 over this any day, even the 3.
Already heard it's really rattly/creaky on uneven roads in a car test from Auto Motor und Sport.
the new G60 5 series is actually worse, sadly
@@dr-ok3sn good joke. The G60 is far better than the BR214. It's of way higher quality, has a lot less creaking and higher quality materials. It might not have the nicest seats (which the e class also doesn't btw, they are quite hard and worse than the G60) including the comfort ones but it's put together really really well.
The Mercedes on the other hand.. I'd expect that quality in a C-class, not an E.
The G20 BMW 3 series has higher interior quality than the E which is just sad to see for mercedes. Even a smart feels more solid and is actually less creaky.
I can't share the same opinion. Quality was top notch at the Swiss dealership

Those seats look terrible.
and stupid ID7 EV junk from VW costs basically same or more then this E class and ID7 looks like shit inside and outside with shitty range of 600km and only if you drive it basically 80-90kmh and try go 150-160kmh on autobahn and it would drops on 200-250km
