- In this video, I try the at-205 to see if it would repair this leak in my truck. I had my Doubts on a bottle for $12 of liquid to fix an oil leak that could cause potentially thousands of dollars to repair at an auto shop. I tried it and you will be surprised at the results! Check out the video! good luck!!!

Beautiful video review i just tried it only 20 miles run and it sure did work cant wait to make it better as more that i drive thanks for the long term affects
Is your leak still gone?
I was really apprehensive about using this stuff but I went ahead and used it anyway. It literally stopped a RMS leak that I've been dealing with for over a year in my Wrangler within 2 hours of driving. It's been 6 months and a couple of oil changes later and it's still dry. This stuff really works. If you're apprehensive about using it you're not alone. Just use it!
Great news James!! Happy holidays from High Ridge👍🏻
I'm gonna try it on the truck on my profile.
What about if you use full synthetic oil?
Thanks man I’m gonna try it
@hotwheel6663 you need oil change and add it.
It works. I also spray it on all my bushings and rubber under the vehicle too. Quiets all the squeaks
You spray it? Really....that's kind of ingenious. That really works?
Bought this on Monday after watching your video and all I can say is holy shit and why didn't I hear about this stuff 3 years ago. I have an 05' Sierra 5.3L with a rear main & steering gear leak. Both were leaking an embarrassing amount of fluid, esp the steering gear. I put most of the bottle in the crank and the rest in the power steering pump, set my engine run timer on the guauge and both leaks resolved in under 5 hours. One friggin bottle handled both leaks! The steering gear leak held out to 4.5 hrs while the oil leak dried up after 3 hours of run time. If I ever become incontinent I may just chug a bottle of this.
NICE!!!
Hahaha!
Sounds like the precursor to a new WARNING LABEL ... 😅
😅
Thank you for showing the difference trip after trip and the final result!
Thanks man for this video. Very thorough, how you followed along with your results for days. Awesome.
Thanks S Taylor much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻
My 03 2500hd had the same issue. Had a wrecker come pull it away. Fixed my problem. Lol. Wish I knew about this beforehand
Change your oil and filter, With clean oil, add the At 205, give it 200 miles of driving and the leak should stop completely! Must be used with clean new oil and you would just add one bottle in every time you change your oil and filter so the leak won't come back
Good advice, I was going to reply that my oil never gets dirty because it drips out so fast but, I think I will do the oil/filter and pour it in..
Do you top off the new oil and then pour this in, or pour in less new oil and pour this stuff in to make up for the amount of oil your car usually needs?
You do not need to refresh the oil before using this product. Check the manufacturers website.
This stuff fixed my front seal on transmission and rear seal on engine from leaking it’s amazing and safe for your car
That is what i call a good review we need more of those thank you
Thank you!!!
I had a leaking valve cover gasket on my BMW 645ci...these cars are known to leak anywhere at anytime...no cheap fixes on any leaks. I was lucky that the previous owner just got the alternator bracket gasket replaced for 1000$ ....so now my own first leak....and since BMWs are so touchy I was hesitant to try the at 205. So far I only get a 2 hour drive in of the 5 hours suggested and there are no drops of oil in my garage anymore and the engine didn't seize either....👍
That’s crazy cause the valve cover gasket is metal
I have a audi s4 I wanna try this but I'm scared to
@@Ty0_5 no need to worry...I was hesitant first myself...since it basically looks like water. But I just added it again in my 645 because of the new oil change. I had 4 different leaks ....one still remains but it's also less.....Will keep doing it to all my older cars.
My '09 Infiniti M35 just turned 200K miles and is dry as a bone under the hood. I ran a full dose for three straight oil changes starting at 160K miles and now put 4 oz in at every oil change to keep everything nice and pliable inside the engine. Also use it on rubber suspension parts to kep them from drying out. Great stuff.
I said it before and I’ll say it again this stuff is Ike Liquid Gold👍🏻👍🏻
@@HighRidgeHandyman do you put entire bottle ? saw some negative reviews on amazon
Makes sense the stuff might help rubber bushings. Definitely need to experiment a little.
Just an update. Car is at 255K miles with oil changes at about 4K intervals. ~4oz added at each oil change. Still no drips or seepage anywhere.
AT205 just fixed my 99 Camry with rear main seal seepage, crank seal seepage and leaky valve seal that allowed a smokey start up. Didn't even use a full bottle.
Good product.. one use in recommend area not in cooling or break system..
Really good video, gotta try it on my Sequoia, rear main seal leak...
Good luck 👍🏻👍🏻

I'm still cleaning. from the front & working my way to the back 👍🏼. thankyou .
Ya I had a leak on my suburban but I had the trans out at one point and saw it was not the rear main I'm pretty sure it was the oil pressure sensor leaking
It works. Stopped rear main seal leak.
Definitely gonna try. Good lookin🌻
GOOD LUCK. Let me know how you make out😉
This works. I have been using it for a year.
I have an 1988 Wrangler, going on 400, 300 miles !! 2nd engine, with less than 2,000 miles, had an oil leak, near rear engine seal. I just bought some of this stuff through NAPA for $11.99. Keep your fingers crossed !!
Good luck👍🏻 let it do its job and give it time. More time that went by it got better for mine. Take care thanks for watching DOC!
Did it work on the seal?
@@bcmiller2000 I haven't tried it yet. I want to change the oil first. Everyone I know who tried it, has had good things to say. That's all I can say, at the moment.

Based on what I've read in product reviews I would first drop my oil pan and use paint stripper on the inside of the pan to avoid having paint that delaminates clogging the oil pump. Other than that the rear main seal is what Id use it for.
Who really cares about the paint on an oil pan? Nobody!

It's still a temporary fix. Better than nothing but yeah, it's still going to need a mechanical repair before long. I like it though. Like you said, if you're short on money or time, it's worth a try
Fixed a small leak in a 30 yr. old motorcycle hydraulic clutch slave unit. This stuff seems especially good for hydraulics because it doesn't take much.
This stuff is like liquid goldddddd👍🏻
I have a inner cam tensioner seal leak. You think itd safe? And how much should I add to the oil?
Add a uv glow n dark leak detector at the same time so you can really see the leak before and after
I think that stuff may work I'm going to give it a try as soon as I find out where I can get it.
Good luck with it👍🏻
My 09 Highlander transfer case had a leak issue that was supposed to be covered under warranty but the previous owner didn't get it fixed. Sad too because it was in to the dealer for inspections and oil changes many times during the service bulletin repair period but was never repaired. Of course it may not have been leaking at the time, but since it was an assembly issue at the factory you'd think they would have done it. In any case I'll try to find some of this. Sounds like it'd work in gear oil in a transfer case. Thanks
Good luck K👍🏻
Did it work? I'm thinking about trying it in my SXS too.
I"m tempted to try this on my 2017 Civic Si, it's a salvage Si with a junkyard engine that leaks a drop or two oil every day.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. I haven’t leak a drop since the video. So far so awesome!!! Glad I didn’t fork over a grand right before the holidays.
Not snake oil
2017 - Salvaged, with a junkyard engine. That car has had a hard start to life! Hopefully you can get the most from it. I have an 09 Si, don't know anything about the newer ones. On the old ones the valve cover gasket was a common leak, and the breather box on the back of the engine. For some reason the honda valve covers always like to leak.
Iam having this problem 2002 nissan altima 3.5 it leaks on my catalytic pipe. An then smoke comes from the oil. Iam interested in also trying this out. I tryed stops leak concentrate bottle. But still leaks
Depends where the leak is. If it's from the oil pan, this WILL NOT work. I have an 05 civic 5 speed & I tried on my oil pan, no luck! If it's coming from anywhere else than I'd def give it a shot.
Edit: * However, I never took this product into a spray bottle & sprayed it onto the rubber components itself. I'd say if the oil pan than try spraying the rubber gasket witht his product all around. Saturate it reall good & than go for a good run so they can bound together with the heat of the engine & the gasket expanding. *
Used it for a small leak and it worked amazing!
Nice!!
@Steve Boldt what did you do exactly? How long? How much? How many hours or mins? Did you change fluid right away?
@@erinericsson Had a small head gasket leak and pored in entire bottle into existing oil and as claimed stopped the leak in 5 hrs! It rejuvenates rubber seals and gaskets if not to worn. It really works!
@@stevestarr6395 Have you checked to see if thermostat is bad? I heard that's why head gaskets get blown. The guage doesn't read right to turn on the fan and the engine overheats.
@@erinericsson Thermostat is new and never has overheated.
Old C6 transmission front seal started leaking 1/2 qt. every week right after using Valvoline multi-vehicle trans fluid (big mistake). I flushed it all out, went back to Type-F, and tried a bunch of other products that didn't work, until I started using AT-205 along with Lucas Trans to prevent too much thinning. I don't drive the vehicle much, so it took several months, but now it is completely leak free. I also stopped the hydro-boost from leaking using the same two products together.
what oil do you top off with now?
@@codemajic8238 I don't need to top it off, because there are still no longer any leak. But if/when I need to do it, I'll use a mix of ATF type-F and Lucas Trans Fix because I have a feeling the fluids they are selling these days are just too thin for my application.
This is a good video. I would use some caution though on what you decide to put this in, I'm hesitant to pour this into a crankcase on a vehicle I'd be keeping for a long time. Years ago I was using a turkey baster to put this into a differential and I watched it react to the clear plastic on said turkey baster and it formed hundreds of tiny cracks on this plastic. I'm not an expert in plastic, but I'd be fearful how it could react to items such as plastic chain guides and other plastic components inside the engine. If it's your last ditch effort on a junker or it's the rear main seal yeah maybe roll the dice.
I've had amazing success with Marvel Mystery Oil, it can be used in the crankcase and other applications to clean. I've seen seals cleaned internally stopping leaks almost immediately. In my opinion it's a safer option to start with, I use about half of what the directions call for as it lowers the viscosity and / or add a little heavier weight oil in combination.
So basically no overhead cam engines
If it doesn't drip, it's not a chevy

How safe is this product , will it mess up your engine & how often , do you have to use it , to keep engine from leaking again ? I have a Honda accord , 2017 v6
Supposed to drain it put a new filter put in 205 then fill it with fresh oil. The fresh oil provides less friction which will help seal it and you can leave it in all the way till next oil change
Thank you sir, that's what I heard. I have a sweaty rear main seal, hoping one treatment cycle is enough so I don't have to keep putting it in all the time. I don't like the idea of something messing with my engine oil viscosity.
Fresh oil not needed. Check manufacturer website.

Works on all rubber to restore it. Gets rid of those squeaky joints and bushing. Fix anything rubber. Stuff the repair shops don't want you to know. Heck, they don't even know.
Some of your single drips after a couple of days was probably residual oil up in the bell housing that you couldn't wipe off. I'm about to put it in my 05 Chevy with the same problem.
Did this work for you?
Intersting but I would wait longer period to see any leak.
Will it work on diesel?
Am i able to drop this right into the oil without an oil change?
As a side note, IMHO there needs to be clarification between "seepage" "a drip" and "a leak". Seepage is sorta normal and can occur for years in the same place under your engine w/o getting any worse. If it does, it becomes a drip where it pools somewhere on the bottom of the engine. A leak is when there is evidence or a pool under your car or it's dripping onto your exhaust and smoking. If all you have is seepage or a minor drip that's not near the exhaust, don't let a mechanic or state inspection person scare you into an expensive repair you're not ready for. Just use a bottle of AT205. It can fix most lighter issues.
Will do, I have a sweaty rear main seal on my 05 4runner. To my knowledge I haven't seen any drips or spill on the ground. I just hope one treatment cycle works long-term, I don't like have additives messing with the viscosity of my engine oil.
@@JonFox1945 You literally have 6-8 qts of ATF. a few oz of AT205 will not change the viscosity in any harmful way. It will do more good than harm by a long shot. Best of luck.

I added AT-205 to my 76 VW Bus camper. I''ve had it at 3 top classic car mechanics and they all say it's in great condition accept for the slight oil leak. Well, It's defiantly leaking a quarter size drip a day. So I put in the 205. 5 hundred miles later it's still leaking. Can I ADD more 205?. Will it be bad for the engine to add more ?.
