Yeah isnt it technically better to put the first weapon you find off drop in your sling? I like how ballistic can be so simple with such a high skill ceiling
@illegalpizza7285 Outside of solos, yes. In solos with the kitted guns, if you find something purple you don’t really want to put it in the sling as it’ll revert to level 1. But outside of that, yes. Your first gun you pick up, if it’s a naked gun, put it in your sling for level 1 attachments.
I've been using Ballistic the start of the season and the buffs to his sling is very much underrated! Even outside of ult, switching to 2 other weapons not needing to reload during the heat of battle. When I hot drop, I also pickup the first weapon I see to my sling so it's already level 1 so I would have a minor advantage of a level 1 mag against enemies landing nearby.

Question: for the whistler I read the patch notes say the damage from a planted smart bullet was increased to 10 (was 5) Now when they say "planted" does that mean a hit on the enemy does 10dmg or a hit on the surface and the sphere does 10dmg??
Inspiring The ammo type thing is spot on. I enjoy r3-volt w/ sling havoc or G7 havoc w/ RE sling. Trying to fit the ground loot wingman into the kit somehow, haven't quite figured it out yet. Great video tho!
Could do something very devious and do wingman double mastiff if you’re playing super aggro! Let the Wingman handle your midrange, close the distance for the mastiff double pump. Edit: is that a Braves logo or an Alabama logo?
I wish they let you choose the sight for the sling weapon when ult is active. I would sling the havoc every time if i could put a red dot on it instead of a bruiser. Same for flatline and L star.
Not sure about other but any weapon I carry in the sling i don't ever carry ammo for an make sure it's not the same as the other weapons cause I'll run out an when you activate tempest you get unlimited so saves of pack space and all

Yeah I don’t enjoy that part. I don’t mind the bruiser on the rifles, but it also puts the bruiser on the Peacekeeper and Mastiff lol.

That makes the sling weapon completely useless then. Because it only gets used when the ult is popped. Other than that, it serves no purpose.
