Mike, settling in after a day at work, and catching your thread entry. Fantastic! So glad you had fun with this, and the screen shot print out of me I was not anticipating🙂 Great showcase, and Connie Smith is the only artist I don't have anything by here. I'm a sucker for old school country song titles myself! I have the Cocteau Twins comp Stars and Topsoil, and Pearly Dewdrops Drop is the track that hooked me back in the day. I saw the Sugarcubes live at a small club here in New Haven CT right when Life's Too Good was released in 1988. Amazing. Have seen Ricki Lee Jones in same club setup as well. I appreciate you taking the time to make the video, and the plug on my behalf. All about having fun. Kudos on that ' Thread within a Thread' call out! I'll probably do a Part 2 down the road as well. Nice to meet you too, Patty! 😎🎶🎸🎤
Great selection Mike 😊 and a fun cameo 😊 I can’t show some of those female artists I realized, IF I want to do it all vinyl! Can’t believe all my Sugarcubes vinyls are in Denmark?!? And Pretenders… oh, dang it.
Nicely done my friend! I thought for once Colton would sit still in the video, but guess he had other plans. I like the nickname for Patty! You are the king on nicknames! Hope you come up with one for me! Hope all is well, go Celtics!
So many fab female musical artists! Good idea for a thread. Chrissie Hynde is a legend! A true rocker! Janis Joplin, left us way too soon! I have a soft spot for Olivia Newton John! She’d be in my list. Go Gos, Bangles, Cocktail Slippers….nice Patty cameo! Cheers 😊❤
Some great choices Mike. Glad you flew the C&W flag. Hey Patty, great concert idea. I’m going to do this thread next week, and I’ll tee up you great idea for a thread soon after that. Cheers.
Awesome video! Very cool you put some country artists in here. Lot of cool picks in here but Pretenders are the winner for me. Nice to see Patty make an appearance. I’ve seen Sarah a couple of times. She likes ice cream.
Beautiful ladies Mike. I’ve long been a fan of Elizabeth and her personal vocal style, Garlands is my favourite. Ohhhh Chrissie….yes, yes, yes. I’m seeing The Pretenders at the end of the year. I like the idea of the three album thread. Mike
Those early Pretenders albums were great. It’s always nice to see see some classic country artists like Loretta Lynn and Connie Smith. I have a Sugarcubes album but haven’t picked up a Bjork album yet.
Enjoyed the video. Like the female thread. The cheap thrills album is a rocker. Haven’t played that for a while. I guess i should go play it. Hold on. Ill be back.
Great cross section of artists. Cocteau Twins deserve way more love than they get in the VC. Those first 3 Pretenders albums are awesome. Love the Sugarcubes. I need to find Life’s Too Good on vinyl. Did David Gilmour play on or produce that Kate Bush album?
Hey Mike! Yep, you and Brian turned me onto Ed's channel. What is the purpose of the Grateful Dead note-card on the shelf next to you? "I'm injecting a thread into a thread!" Hi Patty!
The note card was in a collection of records I got from an older gentleman who retired 2 years ago from my work. It was in one of the Dead records. I sat it on the shelf for no particular reason, and there it stays today. 🤠
Astrud.. Wonderful ! I like that particular Cocteau Twins as well "Heaven Or Las Vegas" is pretty stylish as well. I like that you enjoy classic country 🤠 I will spin some Sugarcubes today, and I hope to find some more Chameleon's on vinyl in the near future. 10/10/80 Warfield Theatre 2nd Set Free Share online.. The only way to hear this epic Jack Straw > Scarlet> Fire ! If you have a chance.. Check it out and turn it up ! Haha 😎
Hi JT, A lot of the Chameleons stuff has been reissued for a reasonable price. They actually only did the 3 original studio albums! One of my favorites.
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I have my original copies purchased in the 80s. They are very pricy according to Discogs. Everything is all set for the party. I just need good weather!
Yeah.. The way that I'm running into good records, lately, I'll still wait on some good Chamelions ! I still buy on Discogs occasionally.. Let's hope for good weather 👍

Fun video Mike. Great artists and a nice cameo from your gorgeous Patty too. I'm thinking of loads that l can mention on this thread. Mike

Enjoyed! I'm glad I've found original pressings of Kate Bush and Rickie Lee Jones throughout the years.
Awesome video bro
Nice wide range of selections there Mike. Cheap Thrills and Patti are today's winners. Cheers
Brian
Mike, I like this thread and your response. I need to go watch Ed and Brian's videos now. Thanks, Chris

Olivia was a really beautiful woman!

Turns out Patty is dragging me to that Sarah Mclachlan concert after all Jack!
Awesome video! Very cool you put some country artists in here. Lot of cool picks in here but Pretenders are the winner for me. Nice to see Patty make an appearance. I’ve seen Sarah a couple of times. She likes ice cream.
It looks like Patty is going to buy tickets and drag me to Sarah McLachlan!
Great video Mike! I enjoy that Rickie Lee Jones album as well dude, it’s mellow🤘🏻
Hi Patty! 🤙🏻
It is a cool album Anthony!
Nice, and even a thread suggestion in a thread response! Hi Patty 🙂
Threads within Threads might be the new thing Brian! 😂

Hi Mike, Yes, I'm pretty sure I've seen you show some Cocteau Twins records over the years.
Those early Pretenders albums were great. It’s always nice to see see some classic country artists like Loretta Lynn and Connie Smith. I have a Sugarcubes album but haven’t picked up a Bjork album yet.
I really like that Bjork album I showed Randy called "Debut." You should start with that one.
Enjoyed the video. Like the female thread. The cheap thrills album is a rocker. Haven’t played that for a while. I guess i should go play it. Hold on. Ill be back.

Hi Jeff! I have those Sugarcubes 12" singles on vinyl but beyond that I have a CD copy of Life's Too Good same as you. It's good stuff.
I only just found out that Bjork used to be in the Sugarcubes. I’ve only ever known if her as a solo artist.
The Sugarcubes led me to Bjork way back in the day. Very different sound.

I am always a little short of female artist Interesting I have mostly country female artists. Not sure why

I'm waiting on finding another original, or two.. You must be busy.. It would be a blast to fly into Boston for your party !

Nice, I did this thread as well.
I have to check out your video! So many videos to watch Chris!

Always nice to squeeze in some C&W Jack!
