Denise, I was moved by your video so I subscribed. I'll follow your journey and applaud you every step of the way. Laying it all out there often helps us work our way through life's challenges. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer so life has really turned upside down. The drugs are helping and I'm finding new strength in areas I did not know I had. I've learned it's okay to be sad, let the emotions flow and, pretty soon, the next day won't be so gloomy. I love this time of year. So it gives me joy to keep Christmas in my heart. All the very best - now and always.

I’m pretty new to your channel and already know that you are sensitive woman. Your honesty in sharing your personal life is proof of your strength. I honor you for sharing your deepest feelings over all the loses you have gone through. You are a brilliant woman with impeccable decorating skills. No apology needed for your life changes. I lost my dad at Christmas in 2006 and still go through the sadness in losing a parent. Now I’m losing my 91 year old mom and pray that she gets to see this Christmas. We’ve tried to make everything even more special this year. My heart is breaking too…so I truly understand your losses. May God hold your hand all the way through your time of recovery in picking up the pieces and making each day a little easier than the last. We downsized from a big home to a small cabin four years ago and I love it better! With your talent any home you live in will be beautiful. Size doesn't matter. You can create beauty anywhere you go. Prayers and best wishes. Would love to see your new home and your ideas.

It’s all overwhelming and mourning the loss of your old home is sad . But it will pass in a month or so .. it’s an actual depression thing. I’m so sorry for the loss of your parents. I also experienced the feeling of having to move out of the house that I loved. Five years ago, I also lived in a very big & beautiful house in Houston TX. But because my husband's job changed, we had to move back to the UK. My feeling when I moved out of the house was also very sad, not knowing when we could return. We also spend a lot of time taking care of the house. Now, we live in a small town house, in a small town in England. But I still take care of this little house, as much as the house in Houston. I believe that with talent like you, no matter which house you live in, that place will become beautiful, warm & happy. Hope all the best things come to you. and I'm a big fan of all your videos

I'm so sorry for the loss of your parents. I lost my Dad 2 years ago this Christmas and still can't believe he's gone 😢. I'm also so sorry for whatever you're going through right now and selling your home. I actually checked your channel yesterday to see did you post as you are amazing at decorating! Yes, please post videos of your old home tour, we'd love to see it. I know you had a huge home but this one isn't small, just not what you're used to having and will take time to adjust. Oh, I wish i could hug you and say everything will be ok x we'll all be here whenever you feel comfortable posting again 😊 take care
