Modernization of Slovak Railway Line Poprad - Lučivná (September 2023)

Overview of the modernization of the railway line from Poprad-Tatry to Lučivná with a length of 12.7 km. Modernization will increase track speed to 160 km/h. This is the first section of the modernized corridor from Žilina to Košice. Svit railway station will be renovated, the Lučivná stop will be built in a new location, level crossings will be removed, noise barriers will be added in residential areas, security and signaling technology, traction lines and other related infrastructure will be modernized.
