@@Ham1_697 okay so, one solution is when x, or whatever your variable is, is equal to a number. it will look like this: x=2. This is a one solution because your variable is equal to a number, and your number is equal to a variable. Next, is no solution. No solution is when a number equals a number of a different value. For example: 3=7. 3 has a different value than 7. infinitely many solutions is when both sides of the equation is equal. this can happen like this: 3x + 2 = 2 + 3x, or 1=1.

We r going to do : 4,8,12,16 while in table if 2 we got: 2,4,6,8 they both have have four as the last common now multiply by what gives us the fours? We 4x1=4 and 2x2=4 we want one positive y and the other y make it negative so we r going to choose to make x2 a negative so we r going to multiply the second equation with -2 to the whole equation. But with the one solution, if you substitute the variables and continue wih the equation 3x + y = 17
    Where it will become 17=17?
    Is it now infinite solutions?

So he could get positives to make it easier. He didn’t add it he multiplied it. x became -2x, 2y -4y, and 4: 8. He then got all the opposites which got him the answer.

    • @anshikayadavbhs9802
      @anshikayadavbhs9802 Před rokem

      3x+2y= 5....(1)
      6x+4y= 8......(2)
So in order to equate either x or y
      Multiply (1) by 2
      6x+4y= 10 ....(3)
Now subtract this newly formed equation (3) with (2)
      6x+4y= 8
      (-)6x -(4y)= -(10)
      _________________
      0 + 0. = -2
Here is how you got -2
First you equate the equation and then you add or subtract according to situation in order to cancel either one of variable (x, or y)
If both the equation have same sign you subtract
And if both have different sign you add
      Shortcut
      Same sign - Subtract
      Different sign- Add
(Ask if you have any doubt)
