Hope is a currency that you get each run to spend on operators. When you start a run, you're given three class specific vouchers. These can be used to buy your starting operators. Each rarity costs a different amount of hope (6 for 6 stars, 3 for 5 stars, 2 for 4 stars, and 0 for lower). When you buy an operator, it's capped at e1 max (Will be lower if your own operator is lower). Don't worry about only having three e1 operators, you can get more recruitment vouchers throughout the run. When you get a recruitment voucher, you can also choose to e2 one of your e1 operators. This will also cost hope. IS has a variety of nodes that can have battles, shops, events, or more. Each section of nodes will have a boss stage at the end of it. Battles in the gameplay can reward you with vouchers, which I've already discussed. They can also reward you with relics. They're officially called collectables, but that term is dumb so I don't use it. Relics can be collected throughout a run and buff your operators. As a run goes on, you collect more operators and relics to strengthen your roster to keep up with progressively stronger enemies and nodes. Is this correct Mr. Yii?

as a player who watches Kyostinv guides, I have already maxed all of my three stars. you can't simply watch Kyostinv guides without maxing all of your 3* operators.
Can't wait for Podenco to be MVP again! Don't sleep on operators that have healing, if you don't get a medic on those early stages they're fantastic. I didn't beat any of the final bosses first time round with fungimist but still had a blast and was super addicted.

one thing i look forward the most is turining any character with attack interval decrease in their skill into even better machine gun, especially ceobe

People should build Tsukinogi just to have her base slave in the HR so they can send you clues faster. That is the only reason to use her. Also as a 4* user I can't wait to roll IS2. Hopefully it wont get old too fast tho.
So IS2 is a roguelite gamemode that features: A shop with a donation machine from which you can deposit and withdraw from (and depositing unlocks things, and the machine can break), and hallucinations that negatively affect the way you play a floor? I know the comparison has probably been made before, but I play relatively blind to CN, so I don't care. But this is basically The Binding of Isaac but in Arknights?

I have this feeling im gonna be screwed because I built so many 5* and neglected 4*... I just like the 5s. BP, Plat, Specter, Akafuyu, La Pluma, Vulcan, Greythroat, Warfarin, Whisperain... at least I have Jaye, Perfumer, and Utage built.
Ling actually seems a bit overrated in IS. Like she makes the early stages much easier. *But* she doesn't get the same level of cracked brokeness that a lot of other operators get with relics (the " summoner summons get +50% attack" is the biggest one, and that's nothing compared to some of the crazy shit other classes get), which means she's not going to be team MVP by the time you're doing the hard past: the bosses. If anything, I think jumping on the Ling train for IS is a good way to have a lot of frustrating runs that go the distance but fail the boss fight.
If you have the spare resources then probably. Kroos, Steward, Fang, Orchid, Popukar, Midnight, Ansel, one of the healing defender, are a good option. Also some 4 star are pretty poggers too.
You don't need that many 3stars built. Kroos, Midnight, Spot and Ansel are more than enough - all you are looking for is decent 0 hope options when you are in a pinch (eg. needing healing or anti-air damage)
Scene is seriously overvalued for IS. She drops into irrelevance after the third floor and if you can't build a starting squad that carries you to the third floor, you probably don't have Scene built either. And that's before you consider that you can just borrow, like, a Thorns or something.

When I was a new player, without reading guides, I also just maxed all the 3 stars. Mainly cuz super cheap and no other reason.
