Man knows what he’s talking about.. dropped the ball on the greatest regular season of all time, loosing in Game 7 at home and needing KD to stop that happening again 😅
As a Celtics fan I 100% agree
Boston has been going up against injured teams in the playoffs, too. It's like the basketball gods are making it easy for them.
Reminds me of the 2016 warriors
I was just about to say this. How long were durant and westbrook together for before durant left ya know?
But people are expecting the Nuggets to win right? How is that a failure?
Nobody is expecting the nuggets to win it all
No no no no no stop that I'm at Celtics fan and we have 17 championships in franchise history we are expected to win if we don't win it's a failure straight up 😤😤😤
@@matthewwilliams4168what!? Why they are defending champs.
@moneymoney3235 there's a team that won 60 games and has better players than the nuggets
@@moneymoney3235he’s just running his mouth , lmao the nuggets are literally the favorite this year , and nobody expects the Celtics to beat them
As a Boston fan. I’m also wondering how we are able to have all these very high priced players. Are ownership group is not like Steve bahmer but they got it
Draymond wants the Celtics to win because he knows how close they have been each year.
I agree it is championship or bust for Celtics this season.
I agree
I'm a Boston fan and Boston has had there work cut out for them. They've played injured / weakened teams the entire way so far with huge rests in between while the other teams finish their respective series. Granted Boston is missing Kristaps, They still don't have an excuse. With Tatum / Brown / Jrue / White & Horford. Their Roster is still a complete one compared to their competition. If they don't win this year, They need to tear it down and make some more moves. This is the easiest run to the finals they've had in a long, Long time.
i hate to say this but it feels like this year will come up short without another C to stop Jokic. Especially with Unicorn injured. Think we need you to come over to Boston and help us with Jokic and rebounding. you're our missing piece.
If Jamal Murray is not at 100 percent. We win. If he is tough serious goes either way
@@Ralph9319 agreed. Hopefully porzingis is back to 100% too. We will need him
Got my money on Boston!
Draymond Green is too smart for such bad takes:
* Jaylen Brown's $300M contract starts in 2024-25.
* Jayson Tatum's $300M+ contract will start in 2025-26. He will be around $35M in 2024-25, with his extension taking him past $50M in 2025-26.
* Jdru Holiday's contract extension reduces his salary for the 2024-25 season. The cap hit goes down by almost $10M.
* Kristaps Porziņģis's extension is for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons, at a slightly lower annual salary than his current contract.
* Derrick White is under contract for the 2024-25 season at $20M.
Yes, they "retooled, didn't rebuild". I assume he is not suggesting that they should have rebuilt?
Yes, the Celtics have been to 6 conference finals in the past 8 years. These are the teams and players they have lost to:
* 2017: Cavs, LeBron (Brown's rookie season)
* 2018: Cavs, LeBron (Tatum's rookie season)
* 2019: Bucks, Giannis
* 2020: Heat, Jimmy/Bam
* 2021: Nets, KD
* 2022: Warriors, Steph
* 2023: Heat, Jimmy
Yes, saying 6 in 8 years, it's time to win, sounds good in a vacuum. But, aside from the 2023 loss to the Heat, they've lost to players who were basically better than Tatum at that point in their respective careers.
If the Celtics lose to the Nuggets in the 2024 Finals, it would be to the 3-time, current league MVP.
Lucky you Denver is out.
The best part is the players will say the same. No giannis takes on this Celtics team, they all know a banner is the only answer
No according to the fans the nuggets and twelves are probably 1 and 2 in championship odds(not official odds, fans judgement). Why tf would the Celtics season be a failure if people ezpect 2 teams to beat the Celtics…😂
Won't b as epic the failure to close out the Cavs up 3-1 I'm from Boston we ain't beating whoever come out the west 😢
They should be able to and I'm sure this will be the year. They're way too good to lose to these other teams left.
So everyone just blindly believes the Celtics should just walk into Denver and snatch the title? Did y’all forget about that man joker? Or Ant?
💯
Boston Celtics are like Andy Reid's Philadelphia Eagles they can win a conference but can't close the deal. In large part because their leader is sawft.
Pocket watching
Always listening idol green
No failure in basketball my brother
You are not kd curry or klay please stop talking like it
Without him they wasn’t winning no championships
He’s talking like draymond green
Absolute facts. No chip = garbage. And I expect Boston to drop the ball.
So ur just a hater lol
😂😂😂
They’re going to win. Too much talent and the bench is clicking. Denver and minny are throwing haymakers and showing each other’s weaknesses.
@@justing4094 Boston will lose the series.
They ain't winning shit. Hope porzingis doesn't play and tatum n brown disappoint their fans lmao
It could be a failure, but a failure much better and later than suns, bucks, lakers and warriors!!!
Same can be true for all those teams + Celtics. Failure can happen for all teams but one.
I guess GSW done failed many times then.
Warriors got there’s bro. You’re not gonna win every year. But the Warriors bullied the NBA for five years straight. Green can talk his shit
This comment would hit if they didn't win 4 champs in the past decade lol.
@@yollachrist7313 I feel you, you are 100% factual. I guess I’m referencing the popular Giannis post game rant on failing. Although he won a ring before he still doesn’t regard every other season a failure.
Boston just doesn't have a 2nd gear. You take their main punch and run with them they fall apart. You see it twice when they played the injured Hawks and lost twice.
And where are the Hawks now? In Cancun LMAO
They do have another gear but they lose focus. That's the problem, they get lazy or lose focus. That is the only thing stopping them
Anybody but boston!
