I was surprised to hear everyone there drives a gas vehicle. If you interview the staff at the two diesel performance shops here in my town, they all drive some nice big trucks. I’m a firm believer in driving what makes you happy, gas or diesel. I daily drive a diesel because I waited my whole young adult life to get one and now that I have one I love it, and life is to short to live with the would have/could have/ should have mindset.

The most common thing i’ve been seeing is emissions related failures. Actually had one today on a 6.7L cummins. It needed what i call the EGR tune-up which consists of a new EGR valve, engine pressure differential sensor, and an I-MAP sensor. Also lots of DOCs and DPFs clogging up so they have to be dropped and burned out in a furnace.

2024 Duramax. Watch most of the videos put out by Gale Banks performance diesel. That answers your question about which one to buy. I ordered a 2023 Ford 7.3 Godzilla earlier this year. Owned it for 3 months and traded it in for a 2024 Duramax. Zero regrets. Can’t even imagine going back.

For fellow 6.7 Powerstroke guys out there, get the S&S fuel pump, or the prevention kit.

LUBRICITY! #1 killer of the CP4. Install a DPK so it doesn't take out the HP side when it goes bad. Easy fix for Death wobble, increase Caster. Get 4* caster set and even a worn track bar bushing wont cause it. Factory caster is like a hair over 1*, Man that is nearly straight up.

They drive gas vehicles because they probably don't tow anything. Diesels are made for work.. every day
