I was surprised to hear everyone there drives a gas vehicle. If you interview the staff at the two diesel performance shops here in my town, they all drive some nice big trucks. I’m a firm believer in driving what makes you happy, gas or diesel. I daily drive a diesel because I waited my whole young adult life to get one and now that I have one I love it, and life is to short to live with the would have/could have/ should have mindset.
The most common thing i’ve been seeing is emissions related failures. Actually had one today on a 6.7L cummins. It needed what i call the EGR tune-up which consists of a new EGR valve, engine pressure differential sensor, and an I-MAP sensor. Also lots of DOCs and DPFs clogging up so they have to be dropped and burned out in a furnace.
2024 Duramax. Watch most of the videos put out by Gale Banks performance diesel. That answers your question about which one to buy. I ordered a 2023 Ford 7.3 Godzilla earlier this year. Owned it for 3 months and traded it in for a 2024 Duramax. Zero regrets. Can’t even imagine going back.
For fellow 6.7 Powerstroke guys out there, get the S&S fuel pump, or the prevention kit.
I just bought the kit.
+1 on the DPK, SPE or S&S, but do it!
@@acdii I do not recommend Spe for really any application.
Ford finally may be forced to recall this!!
@@erikwright4155 maybe, for me idc cause I’m going with S&S no matter what
I heard the same about idling too long being bad and needing to regen for 80-100 miles. Hes especially right the oilfield trucks I see that a lot out here. Good vids man keep em coming 💯
Amen. Not "their" truck. They don't care.
Great video. Need to change my crank case filter asap 💀
I get it these guys see the repair bills for these newer trucks and they literally just don't want to deal with it
Great feedback from a diverse crew! just subbed to their channel as well, will be checking them out!
Awesome thank you!
Sounds like everything is bad ! RUN .............
LUBRICITY! #1 killer of the CP4. Install a DPK so it doesn't take out the HP side when it goes bad. Easy fix for Death wobble, increase Caster. Get 4* caster set and even a worn track bar bushing wont cause it. Factory caster is like a hair over 1*, Man that is nearly straight up.
Just sold my custom king ranch. Had around $80k in it. Sold for $35k. Bought a gasser. Vids/shorts of my 6.7 posted.
That had to hurt.
im a diesel tech 34 years now since you tube come out everybody thinks their a mechanic you tube keeps our shop in business
😂. I bet
SRC?
Glad I wasn't the only one that picked up on that. He's a diesel tech, lol
They drive gas vehicles because they probably don't tow anything. Diesels are made for work.. every day
No comments?
Yet lol
Bottom line......buy a Honda, not a diesel!
