Piazza Nav9na, Piazza di Spagna, Colosseo, Foro Romano, Campidoglio, Teatro Marcello, Vatican City, Piazza Venezia, Circo Massimo, Vicus Caprarius, San Giovanni, Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa Maria in Cosmedin, Templio di Ercole, Ostia Antica, Ara Pacis, Bocca della Verità, Musei Capitolini and Vaticani, Mura Aureliane, Piramide Cestia, Cappella Sistina,San Paolo, Pantheon, Trastevere...and I could continue. Rome has no rivals. There s too much difference...without talking about all the fantastic churches (even the smallest ones) and their treasures (statues like the Mosè, paintings like the ones in Sant'Ignazio di Loyola Church and mosaics).. all the temples you can find and visit under them... Venice is beauty like Florence, but Rome is simply unique. P.s.: we can talk about Marghera or Mestre...

Even in the South there are fantastic palces, like Taormina, Ostuni, Lecce, Positivo, Sorrento, Otranto etc... but yes, talking about big cities, the ones in the South of Italy are bad.
