Today I’ll be sharing yet another set of beautiful watercolours, this time, by A.Gallo.
You’ll see me swatching their new Naturale 3 palette which has very unique colours and pigments.

ABOUT ME: My name is Carolina. I’m originally from Brazil, but I live in Dublin, Ireland.
I’ve always thought of sharing some of my happy discoveries and art here on CZcams, and recently finally decided to give it a try.

My academic background is in literature, but I’ve always been passionate about creating art and art supplies. My favourite art supplies are watercolours, but I also use ink, gouache and coloured pencils on occasion.
This channel is all about sharing new and exciting art supplies, where to get them and what to do with them. I will also be sharing some of my art and techniques.

Thank you for sharing your reactions. I like this set overall, I purchased it recently. I have the full set of A.Gallo and find their paints to be incredible and smooth to work with. I am not a huge fan of Victoria Green and experienced the same as you that it is gummy and glue like. Also had that experience with the Volcano Orange from Schmincke and have to mix it in the tube as it continues to separate.
Hi there! Yes, I think it may have to do with the nature of the pigment. I had this happen to me also with some green earth versions, like Sennelier’s. I agree A. Gallo’s paints are really lovely 😊

Hi Lynn, this is a beautiful palette so congratulations! Apart from that Victoria green which was being a bit difficult (I think it’s because of the pigment pg23 green earth) it’s a gorgeous combination with a bit of everything. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
I'm not the biggest fan of granulation but these colors are gorgeous! Especially the purples and red, I usually don't like earthy or natural colors as well so it was a surprise for me that I actually liked this set 😅
Yes, it has a more vibrant palette than the previous ones, I guess that’s what attracted me to it

I previously purchased the Naturale 2 (I had to laugh when you said you weren’t such a fan of earth colours because that’s me, exactly LOL) and was thinking of getting the Naturale 3. This was my first visit to your channel and I subscribed before I was halfway through the video! I really like your style and pace, and I was so impressed with the way you swatched this palette for us; giving us a real taste of the pigments in action as well as showing us how the Tintoretto brush and Fabriano paper perform. Delightful.

They’ll also be selling half pans of all the colours in this palette tomorrow so if you’re not sure you like all of them you can always get them separate. I love the colours too! Only I'm skeptical of the lightfastness of NBr8 because it is fugitive in other brands!
I know, it has this reputation, but I like it so much I’m willing to compromise in this case 😬

Hi, just thought I'd say hi since I'm in Limerick and YOU ARE THE FIRST watercolour art youtuber based in Ireland that I have found. Came across your channel today when looking for how to sumi paint bluebells, the algorithm gave me your boku-undo video for some reason... I watched it since I also have a set (or two) of boku-undo :D (so happy to have found someone locally with similar interests). Then watched your 4 recent hauls and am worried you are going to be a bad influence on my savings account lol... made worse since you've also introduced me to Natasha Newton... anyways, also wanted to mention will be going to London soon and dont know if I can resist going to Choosing Keeping. God help me. But you keep up your postings cause they're helping me enjoy painting again.

I’m very happy to find fellow artists in Ireland too, so, welcome 🤗 I hope I won’t ruin your finances 😅 I was in London last year and visited Choosing Keeping, but I was able to behave and got only one set of paints and a paper pad (aquarelo). If I can maybe help you save some money, I didn’t find the paper worth the price; it is thin and buckles easily; it also dries extremely quickly. The paints are nice, but some you can get from Japan at a cheaper price too as I mentioned in my videos of the Boku Undo and the Kissho dark colours set. Hope you enjoy your trip!

The colors are beautiful. The only disappointing one is Victoria green. It is very light. I have A Gallo PG23 earth green it looks very similar. It’s a very light green and just like Victoria green is a very low tinting pigment. Also, I find it’s hard work to use! I avoided the naturale 24 set because it has too many earth tones and I only bought naturale 2. I think naturale 3 is very well rounded.
Good to know I’m not the only one having problems with it. It’s a pity though. I think I can live with that considering I really enjoyed the other colours, and that Icelandic red 😍
@@coloredcarol8074 I agree one dud half pan out of 12 isn’t too bad. As long as a palette has a blue, red, yellow, pink, purple, green, and earth tones then I’m happy.

I couldn’t find it as they updated the initial description on the first release post. They said if they managed to make it they’d eventually sell it as a half pan, so I guess we’ll need to wait to find out. Happy swatching!

I think the shiny areas on the paper are sizing.
I need to try it more in other papers also, hopefully it was a one off!

I'm so upset!!!! Jackson's just restocked all their Roman Szmal paints so I spent ALL the money on ALL the paints. And now two days later A. Gallo is back in stock!!! AAAARRRGGGHHHH
Ah don’t be too upset, Roman Szmal are great paints too, they’re one of my favourites. A.Gallo usually restocks every last Sunday of the month, but you can sign up to their newsletter so you’ll know exactly when next one will be. My only advice is to set an alarm and buy, they sell out quickly!
As pretty as they look in swatches, I’m wondering if the average person could tell the difference between two paintings, one using A. Gallo watercolors, and one by a different company. I doubt it! It doesn’t stop me wanting to have them, but maybe it will temper it, because it’s a lot of money. Also I’m wondering how lightfast they are.
