Enfield has launched AVL Engines to give an extra edge over performance in 350 cc category . This is really a fast economic and less maintenance bike .
AVL Engine was launched in 2000 and discontinued in 2019 .

That time RE introduced AVL engine with Lean Burn technology but as you said it was ahead of all the Latest bikes. I had 500 cc AVL for a decade and it never gave any problem in its entire life. It has many advance features those were beyond local mechanics knowledge.
Agree with you brother , I will prove all that in my future videos on AVL .

Mere pas 3 AVL engine vale bulet hai. Usmese ek apki jaise same model 2002 Vala. & 2003 vale thenderbird & 2007 model self start Vali thenderbird.. bahut achha engine Hai. Bahut pyari hai bhai...
Apne ek important future ko bhoolgaya bhayi.. 5 speed tho hai lekin har ek gear ke middle liteshift neutral hote hai.

My first bike RE Thundebird AVL engine CDI unit 2005 model still riding.
Best strarting,excellent milage upto 40kmpl,amazing top speed.
Only drawback of this engine is unavailability of spare parts and lack of thump.
But engine is quite similar to old CI engine.
Superb bro
for the last 20 year I own this bike
It had very good pickup like apache 160 and top speed of 125kmph
It was very wonderful to ride
BUT it had some major flaws because of which this engine failed
The cylinder kit, tappet rod, timing gear, timing valve were used to wear and tear very soon in 10- 15000 kms according to driving conditions as compared to CI engines
Mechanic visits were very often because of these issues which was a major flaw.
I still have beautiful memories with this bike used to ride like hell on the highways at that time but the fun ended quite soon when the engine started to show its true character.
I have ridden it 65000 kms since then and I have changed 4 cylinder kits 4 sets of timing gear, tappet valve, tappet rod, head valve, valve guide and crank shaft only one time repaired.
So the total experience was not good.
Right now I am looking forward to convert it into CI engine which was reliable and had better thump.

Paji bullet campus v aya se. With same features. Also name as electra . And avl gives sounds like diesal engine as I use all of them. But G2 is best in all . Model available till date

Bhai, that's a great bike you have there. Performamce, mileage is in top class. But... What i have observed in all bullets from Punjab, Hariyana is that they all do not know what is the Optimum riding posture on a bullet. The extremely pulled back or the low handle bar position isn't the sign of a good rider. Please don't mistake me but.. Yes, you lack the riding ergonomics.

I stil have machismo 350 but bina battery de start nhi hunda mera since 2005 mere ghr hega and i love my machismo it feels vintage and different and mera machismo 140 kmph tak jata hai and i love the sound of pistons but actual me iska look thoda sa different tha apka vala same standard jesa hai look but jo iska back light ans numberplate postion hai vo actually alag thi same nhi thi

Yes you can , but it will take lots of efforts to achieve the same changing cylinder kit to some engine parts will leads it to an expensive project .👍
