This is the most symbolic song on the new record for me, even though it's instrumental. Like Timestretch, or Into the Sun, or Boomerang, it just feels like it's from that same place in the universe where these big soaring love songs live. But this song was an absolute pain in the ass to make because there were SO many different versions of it. There were various vocal versions, and completely different possible sequences, and insanely long extended versions, and at almost every point I felt paralyzed creatively because of all the various creative options. I would listen to the song on loop for hours and keep all the drums muted, and just mix it into a symphony of glittering sonic color, or mute all the melodies on the drop and just let it growl… I started bringing in sounds from other songs (Replenish, Ping Pong, Flashback, etc) and it was while working on this song that I dreamed up the concept for the album: celebrating music as a sonic collage, and surrendering to all the diverse micro-nuances and possibilities within the creative process.

My new favorite. Love bassnectar at age 47. Bassnectar is the only guy that makes songs that cause me to see myself flying through the sky with Jesus and my wife and kids. Not a care. All peaceful. All smiles. Same for "Time stretch".

I was looking through some of his old videos and it's 'insane how huge he used to be. Bass Center in Colorado was 7 years ago yet the production was massive. Who knows what kind of crazy stuff he'd be doing now if he hadn't fucked up.
So glad I had a random urge to search bassnectar to see if there was anything new.
To me, this song reminds me of the beauty and limitless expansion life can be. Full of mystery, beauty, wonder, happiness, heavy love, and an overall sense of euphoria that life can give you when you're happy to be alive and just thankful to be breathing.

Every time I listen to an electronic artist on youtube, I read the comments and invariably there is someone like you who expresses sentiments of high minded sentimentality that is rooted in some type of hyperbolic notion of joy because a piece of music-evoked some type of emotional reaction in them that experienced through their haze of drug use or some other form of induced perceived realistic alternative. Stop doing drugs. It's just a multi-layered song of evocative sound effects. Nothing more.

Methadras You sound aggravated and moody as fuck. Just because you're unhappy doesn't mean you need to make others feel the same. Not to mention literally everything you said was an assumption. Nothing this guy said talked about drugs, so you are clearly the one who's doing drugs. Anyhow this song doesn't remind me of what the OC said. It just reminds me of traveling through deep recesses of my mind.

+Katara Sásii enter the chamber is a happy melody and in fact was used for a commercial so I guess you could say it was crowd-pleasing as well. And TKO is pretty sassy. He said he's moved away from talking about political change in his music, like in underground communication and diverse systems of throb, but he most definitely hasn't lost the message. He's explained Reaching Out's meaning, just because it lacks lyrics doesn't mean it's lacking in meaning. And he makes music for himself, not to please us, just read some of the things he writes rather than just simply listening to the music and taking it for face value. He's a beautiful person to try to understand.

This album brings back that mesmerizing the ultra style. Yeah, not the same album.. but if you want to hear his old stuff, then play his old stuff. To me this is much better than his last couple of albums. Sounds like your reminiscing when you first experienced bassnectar for the first time, and you want that feeling again. Just my opinion. btw enter the chamber is one of his best tracks, its hard to capture lightning in a bottle twice.

Another masterpiece yet again. He never ceases to amaze me. His sound is unique and his own. I have recently been turned on to Bassnectar and I have been taken on a journey of my soul with the help of this music. I shared another one of his videos to Facebook to try and wake up the masses. This is the music of the future. My 5 year old son adores Lorin. It means we have hope. I have lost a total of 35 lbs dancing to this unique sound. The nectar from the Gods and Goddesses. Peace Love Harmony.

I feel like with music that complex especially with a track like this, not everyone understands it. A lot of people don't like complex music. I guess it's just an innate ability for music artists and others who are very open minded and more creative than the casual listener, to deeply understand and enjoy music like this. All I can say is I feel blessed to be open to listen to music like this.
