Other mahatmas have said the same thing, for example Swamy Rama even said that a Siddhi to make dead become alive can be achieved but it has nothing to do with achieving God, or His grace

@@ryanleiderman9622 I will tell you mine, and keep it short. This is just my work with isha kriya, before I learned Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya almost 2 years later... I started isha kriya and kept doing it for around 6 months before I realized I was spirit inhabiting the body by experience. I, what I call, dislodged from the body and floated down inside it checking out different organs. I could not keep it long so i popped back into the control of the body state. I have been out of my body several times since.
Sadhguru's perception is higher than mine, I don't understand the spiritual stopper method but I can kind of see where he is coming from. It seems like he's more into individual subtle processes, that way everyone can attain as an individual.
The most blowing thing with us is that we are the finest and the best Machines on earth.. it's just amazing
As I understand, what Sadhguru meant to make us see is that most people go on spiritual exploration because of varying ailments in their mind or their body. If they were healed just like that, they'd stop striving to break their limitations and happily settle back into them.
I believe he is speaking specifically to the Siddhi's, which describe magickal powers attained through intense concentration specifically developed for that purpose. He is saying there is no benefit to these attainments and should not be sought after.
SImply put, the real miracle is the mastering of the inner harmony which allow a being to be coherent toward Love. Wonderful Sadhguru!

If I had to choose one single siddhi then I would choose teleportation so that I can explore the entire universe. I have no concern to show anybody my powers because that's just a waste of time and energy. Knowledge is power.

I didn't quite get what a Siddhi means, if someone can please explain to me I would be grateful. From what I understood, he explains that siddhis are particular achievements that can be attained, like the "juggling" ability or the "future-telling" ability, and then he goes on warning people not to focus on attaining these abilities to show off but to focus on the inner-knowing process.

No siddhi is useless unless misused. But definitely not the goal in life. I have accquired level of siddhis it's helped lot in day to day life even helping others.

I hear what Sadguru is saying here. Since childhood, I've had the abilities of precognition, seeing auras, lucid dreaming, and out of body experience. Honestly speaking, these things have been a source of delight for me and my friends and family, but that's as far as they go. They don't provide any genuine growth or enlightenment.
They do , you have just learn how to use them in order to connect to God and yourself and inner core. They are a tool you can use on your journey. Do you think you have this for nothing? Believe in your skills I would suggest :) I doubted them as well many times. You can connect to your soul easily asking for advice etc. PS also you could heal ancestral/generational karma/topics/patterns or whatever , so that the DNA would be free from it and reprogram and how great is that for the world and future generations?

I almost left after he said someone didn't get angry for a year. Yet directly after he spoke about exactly what I was looking for. I believe that anything technology can do, we can do with our minds/bodies. It would take an enormous amount of time and effort tho to begin to do magical things. As he was saying, I want to be the person who is calm and radiates peace rather than one who gets rattled by anger and other negative emotions eminating from those I come into contact with. Obviously I won't be perfect yet it seems a worthwhile direction to head in. Thank you.

If you're aware of what the government is doing then you can manage maneuvers to overcome and outwit (to some extent)....build a team of ppl with this knowledge and your chances increases per person.....build groups along with your groups and then ppl have power

Hello Andy Day he is not saying anything wrong about healers he is saying that what is the point of showing off the powers(siddhis) to people which will make no difference in their lives.
Healers heal people.Sadhguru said nothing about healers.He only said about those baba's who show off their mind reading and other skills just achieved them in vain because they dont change peoples life.
Hey Andy, there is nothing wrong with healing powers or attaining any other siddhi... what sadhguru is reminding us is that our main objective is spiritual enlightenment especially when u are born as a human, u are far more capable of attaining it in human birth. He is reminding us to not waste our limited time pursuing siddhi or healing powers (which is an accomplishment of physical nature not spiritual) that will anyways go when ur body mind dies. So focus on realising your true nature, focus on spiritual enlightenment

however i do believe nature didn't create the siddhis for nothing. i've gone after various sddihis with enough success to prove to me they're real, which gives more evidence that enlightenment/liberation itself can be real. and in that way i think it was somewhat beneficial, to a pont anyway

Actually yogasutras say that siddis are side effects on the path to enlightenment and are a distraction. Many true yogis avoid siddis. Once you become the object of your concetration, you can manipulate the object anyway you want. That is what siddis is.

@Amal Not really. All you need to be angerless is to be a complete pacifist. Allow anything to be done to you, and take it all silently like a vegetable.
Note that Lord Shiva himself is far from being angerless. Just look at what he did to dakSha when Sati died. The armies he generated from his powers thrashed everyone at the yagna. Later, when everyone pleaded to him, he fixed dakSha with the head of a goat.
THAT is miracle. Being angerless is only for fraud-yogis who don't have any real powers, and yet must insinuate that they have any.
Giving and receiving the truth is what it's all about. When it is givin freely and taken freely it is called a Royal Act. You will not find this anywhere but from a Royal Priest. If you have ears to hear you better listen...

It is good to provide healing and guidance for people whilst empowering them. These siddhi are there for a purpose and yes they shouldn't be misused but to negate them completely is wrong in my opinion.
That's exactly what I was thinking. If these guys really have such great Powers, they could really help humanity. And they should. If they aren't using their Powers to help others or themselves, then what's the point of having such powers.

On the other hand, if your aim was to awaken and attain enlightenment and the powers associated with siddhi manifested as a side effect, you would be likely to have the necessary wisdom.

its not that its wrong, but going after it is wrong. especially when you go after something you're doing it to add to yourself. now if these things follow you then you have a different argument. but for the most part it takes a lot of time to develop the siddhis, that could be because this is the kali yuga or the yugas could be nonsense and it was always hard. but who knows. if humanity does go back millions no one can know except through subjective technologies

Of what use is it to heal people? Or what use is it to remote view to find missing people? Of what use is it to telepathically connect with another being? Of what use is it to manifest wealth/food for hungry people? I think Sadhguru exaggerates a bit here and/or does not take into account people who are not on his level, which should be most. He may be far, but completely discrediting Siddhis like they had no use at all? He is wise but he also makes mistakes. I think in what he said here, exaggerating/polarizing the way he did, he made another of those rare mistakes. Also threatening people who grow and attain Siddhis? "Hey people, check it out, I can now juggle with 10 balls, but Sadhguru does not allow me to show it". So we need your allowance, Sadhguru? I think not. A wise man knows when to use his powers and what for, there is no need to play the stern teacher at that level, I assume

There are certain dimensions , but they aren't worth lifetime acheiving it. We all can gain siddhis but the point is neither do we have enough time to do it nor they are worth the time., imagine gaining powers like telepathy and levitation at your mid 80 s... now , in this age what can one do with these powers...

Siddhi is not about supernatural power n all those mindbending teleportation BS . Like Sadh Guru said Siddhi are accomplished ppl who pursue n have knowledge of Science n psychology but the difference is their intentions is to not seek or spread truth but to push their will n agenda. Its similar to what ancient Greece had in the form of Sophist, who were all accomplished spokesmen, statesmen, healer (placebo effect), illusionist etc , Masters of rhetoric n psychology who could easily brainwash Ppl into believing whatever they told them only Socrates could see right through them. Just Like that Siddhi (Sophist) = Knowledge/tool and Buddhi (Socrates) = Wisdom / Truth.
