- Todays Frugal Friday DIY comes from Pinterest. Homemade Gel Air freshners are easy to make and a whole lot less chemicals and additives than store bought.
*I forgot to mention what happened to the second cup of water....you add it to the first once the gelatine has dissolved**

Let's say I put the final product in my car...will it melt (hot to very hot climate)? Thanks.
+Prakash P it would probably melt in your car. You can always try it. Make sure it's in a cup holder or something in case it does melt, you don't want it to spill

How long will the smell last? :)
Its stronger at first. Mine has been in my bathroom for about 2 weeks. Its a softer milder scent but I can smell it going into the bathroom still. It'll just dry up when its done
What happened to the other cup of water ? .. you never used the 2nd cup ? ... You did say 2 cups water divided in two cups?

-boil and dissolve gelatine in one cup of water
-After the gelatine dissolves, add the remaining cup of water and then the salt.

I made some and mine is moldy can you tell me why?
+Daniel Ryan oh wow Im not sure why! was it left somewhere hot with the lid on for a while? only explanation I can think of is that. I stored mine in my closet. there was one that dried out because the lid wasn't on properly but it never got moldy
can i use china grass instead of gelatine
Ive never heard of china grass (Agar) but quick search on google makes me think that yes you could.
Im not sure if it needs to be mixed and measured differently though.
If you do try it let me know and I can add it as an notion in the description

+pisho eyes that's a good question. I haven't tried anything except the stuff I used in the video. Give it a try with other stuff I don't see why it wouldn't work. Let me know how it goes
