As someone who played football at a big HS in Texas. You start lifting weights in 5th grade and they put you on a meal plan to bulk up. It doesn’t teach you health eating habits so the weight you put on after HS sucks but football was fun.

A few years ago one of, (if not the best high school football team from California, Da La Sal High School) came to Texas to face off against Trinity High School in football game. A lot of hoopla was said throughout the media. After 2-4 delays due to lightning the 2 teams took the field. I personally don't remember the score but Da La Sal found out what the phrase, Every Thing is Bigger in Texas, really stands for. Especially when it comes to High School Football in Texas. Which area of Texas do you think that most of the best college and pro. players come from, North Texas of course.

That would be an awesome matchup to see. They’re both top 10 teams in the nation right now. But nobody’s touching Mater Dei. In 4 games their point differential is 193/36, including a 55-8 win over the #9 team in the nation, Kahuku. Kahuku had just beaten #10 St. John Bosco too so they’re a great team. It’s crazy how good these kids are getting. I just think you could put Mater Dei up against any and every high school team (and honestly probably some D1 college teams) in the world right now and they would wipe the floor with them. But that’s what happens when you have 11 of the top 100 recruits in California on one team… 5 of which are in the top 12… that’s ridiculous 😂
