    I didnt look through the comments... someone probably already said it.
    Put the bottle your filling up into a bucket of ice.
    as you mentioned... the bottle was hot after filling, with higher pressure... but pressure normalizes when it cools off.
    Ice just keeps the bottle from getting overly hot, makes condensing easier because of lower temps, and allows you to fill easier and more efficiently. We use this technique with refrigerant recovery. Just hook up the tank set it in a tub (or bucket), and fill with ice.
    You may have to play with what pressure to stop the pump at, as the ice may cause the opposite effect.... You might pump in 3K, but when it warms up it may be at 3.25K... but you should be able to fill tanks slightly faster with this method.
    Im probably 3 years late though... and someone probably already led you to this path. Lol.

    @airvelocitysport discovered that using "Seccolube" an HPA specific oil, and running a oil/water separator would help eliminate smell, AND prolong the life of the compressor because of oil piston blow-by. Its pricey, but a good idea if you want to optimally run any HPA compressor
    I personally also like to run a cotton/charcoal/cotton filter after the oil/water separator for max filtering

    I came across a video of someone reviewing this compressoe stating that there was some minor oil build up in the tank. Is it safe to use because I've also hesrd that oil in a hpa tank is essentially a bomb that can combust on fill ups spontaneuously?

    I’m thinking of getting something like this .. I get my 88ci/4500psi tank filled at my local dive shop but when I pick it up it’s quite warm, once it cools down naturally the pressure drops … Does the water feed on these things stop the tank warming up and giving the maximum pressure at room temp?

    • @OrdoAirsoft
      @OrdoAirsoft  Před 2 lety

      The tank will still be warm after filling but not as warm as getting it filled at a scuba shop. The water feed is to cool the cylinder head on the compressor, you are always going to have some pressure drop after filling once the tank cools to room temp.

Can you allow them to cool and then top them up??

    • @OrdoAirsoft
      @OrdoAirsoft  Před 2 lety

      You can allow them to cool and keep filling, the reason they get so hot is because they are filled very quickly with the method they are using. Also, you should not fill them up to the max psi rating maybe fill them to 4000 psi instead.
