That's the key word "disrespect" . Basic human respect that he did not give her. I don't even recall him thanking her for the game she successfully designed. An employee (never mind that she is your wife) is at least entitled to that. And to top it all, he took her out as the lead programmer when he promised her that position if she succeeded in the design, all because of Liman. She pressured him and he succumbed, sacrificing his wife and even embarrassed her in front of colleagues.

He never did that, even if he had plenty of possibilities to do so.

When he called LI, LI, after they made love, Luli will never think it was her that Yicheng is referring to because he never called her LI. It was always, Luli, silly, stupid, childish, Koala lu or Dumb Koala.
Exactly, why on earth would she think that the "LI" he said (while being so drunk he was hardly able to function) was actually referring to her, if he never addressed her that way before.
I don't think it was a right thing to make love with a man that drunk, even if he's your husband in law, but her decision to not mention it anymore was a rather smart one. He belittled her every possible way so he could use what happened to abuse her more or accuse her of forcing him to make their contract marriage a normal marital relationship.

Pues Yichen en lugar de defender a Luli de Liman él la agredía más sacando la cara por Liman y permitía que Liman la intimide a Luli en su presencia por todo eso, él merecía una dura lección y Lu se la dio. Bien hecho.
Regardless that it's a contract marriage, he didn't treat Luli with any respect, as a wife or a co-worker. He kept on demeaning, insulting and humiliating her. Luli was so in love with him, that she was just glad for the little scraps of affection he would show her.
I don't agree with his friend telling him to read the Kaola blog. IMO, after reading the blog he felt guilty. I don't think it was love, more like sympathy towards Luli.

He's very selfish and takes the love and respect from his wife in law for granted. That's why he hardly ever bothered to give her due respect or show something resembling love or care. Most probably he never even thought of the girl he met online years ago until (with the help of his best friend) he realized that it was actuallyher whom he married, otherwise he would do something to find her whereabouts.

I couldn't finish this drama, she was a fan of his and let him treat her in the most humiliating ways, he wasn't just a tsundere he was a jerk with the femele lead and she only followed him like a dog.
As she said in the drama, she gave herself a good chance to see if they could've been a normal couple, It didn't work, left him and applied for divorce, then moved to another town, then he realized he didn't want to lose her, he also found out she didn't marry him to keep her job, but because she has feelings for him, he spend a lot of time looking for her, and once he found her he had to work hard to get her back, it's also very irritating how she kept rejecting him later in the drama, but once they got back together, that is when their real relationship starts, not cause he is thinking that she married him for 1 year to keep her job, or that she is thinking he married her so that he doesn't lose his father's endorsement, but that they have mutual feelings for each other, if mistreats after the second start then I wouldn't blame her for leaving him, but he never does, instead he treats her like a queen in their second start. it's a very complex drama, and people have to see from all angles.

This drama was never good. He hurt her cause he is a self-centered, negative jerk that only sees his perspective. Extremly annoying and immature behaviour. He is the anti-attractive partner. Complete turnoff and that's why I couldn't ship them. The girl is annoying as well cause she had the plaine jane trope. Remember when she had that black nightgown with the white tshirt under when they biked? That scene is forever engrained as why I hate dramas like that. From him beeing lazy to bike and letting her do all the work to that wierd fashion-conservatism- the double signals didn't balance at all, it was just hard to understand why it was an adapted drama. It wasen't cute, romantic or something to reccomend. If I was the actor I would stay away from beeing casted a role similiar to this one and the one in you are my destiny. I'd love see him acting kind, warm and good towards women.
