I just planted Lapins cherry . Can I cut it only a foot from the ground? It has 9 small branches at the top ( it’s about 3.5 feet tall). I am afraid to cut it short because I don’t see any nodes lower than the branches. Please help, is it safe to cut it that short? Thank you very much in advance for your response .

Nothing but a ladder. proper pruning enables accessibility. In this way, you will leave the fruits to the birds or, even worse, infect the tree if you do not pick the fruits.

I was learned that you should avoid droping cutted fragments of roots to the hole in which we plant tree. It can slow down root development a bit.

You take the grafting branch when the tree is at rest , and the time for grafting is when the rootstock wakes up, i.e. the juices in the bark start.

Для того, чтобы увеличить расстояние между бутонами, чтобы плоды не сталкивались и качество конечно было лучше.
