Thanks for this! I just installed the same unit on my 2023 701sm. II don't usually ride at night so this is really for keeping me more visible to drivers during the day. For that, I think it's pretty good. I'll keep my eye out for the condensation, though!
Indeed, during daylight/night time you are way more visible with this headlight.

Yes. It works without any problems and no condensation so far.
Seeing the LR tank on the Enduro always makes me wonder what it would look like on the SM.
Don't think it will look that good :D I don't like them on the Enduro version but I am more into functionality than looks.

Is it possible to install 2021 701sm?
From what I know, this will fit on all 701 models and years.
Are you satisfied with it? Is it stronger than original? From the video I can't tell it surely.
As far as lighting it's better than the stock one. The problem that I am having with it it's that the beam is really concentrated in the middle and it doesn't light everything around the light beam. Sometimes, in corners it bugs me because I don't see the surroundings as good as with the stock. I will try to add a small light bar that would light the area just in front of the bike. All in all It's worth the money.
I just installed the same one. My DRL turns off when I flick on the high beam. What could cause this?? I have matched up all the wires when I repinned the plug
It's the same on mine. I think it has nothing to do with the headlight but with how the 701 wiring works. My guess is that on high beam it drops the voltage for the position light (which in this case is the DRL). You could test this out with a voltmeter and see if this is the case.

It remains to be seen. I already seen just a bit of condensation in the headlight when riding today. Will need to see how bad it is.
