    • @TexasGolfer
      @TexasGolfer Před 6 měsíci

      This is good info Grant, glad you two did this one. I can sometimes struggle with depth on driver.
      I find that when I have depth the ball control is wicked good. But when the swing gets too steep my wrist angles get jacked and all kinds of bad stuff happens.

    • @ryanwalters694
      @ryanwalters694 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@drewjordeyes. Keep your hands inside and low. If you slice that, your face is open too. Hands deep and hands low with face control will produce a draw

      Wes played great rounds 2-4. I’d like to hear feedback from Wes and see if he utilized getting the arms deeper during the tourney. Did he play a draw during the even this weekend? I was telling my brother the other day. Before Wes hurt his wrist he mainly hit a draw and his swing was more shallow. I hope this changed brings him back to that form.

    As a veteran instructor with decades of experience and teaching thousands of lessons a year, I will testify that Grant's knowledge and his understanding of cause and effect in a golf swing are incredible for such a young man. To recognize that swing plane is often the result of lower body movement is next level and I would guess 90% of instructors would start by trying to fix the issue with the arms instead of the hips. More and more impressed with Grant all the time. And he is definitely my swing crush!! Good job guys.

    I have had several shoulder surgeries and understand what Wesley is saying about the tightness, and loss of mobility. I went from having a backswing I didn't have to think about to similar issues. As Grant diagnosed I also had to get my hip turn a bit deeper as well and feel that my backswing was a bit more around me to get proper hand depth. Great observations and lesson!

Maybe a little more conection in the backswing, keeping hands in front of the body in the takeaway and stoping arms and hip rotation at the same time at the top, but im loving the new structure. Now its time to rotate more in the downswing, there's no need to pull arms down or back it up now. He is a little too much inside and flipping the club face

Just recently over came a back injury and my instructor helped me with this to aid me in getting to my right hip. For golfers like Wesley who may have lost some rotational flexibility this may be something very easy to help get a deeper turn. Great job! Cheers my friend.

    My question is, how flat vs vertical do you want to be (the club shaft) when you start pulling back into the inside? Is there a happy medium? I've always felt I have a very inside swing, and have worked on not trying to be too flat in my back swing, tend to miss left/snap hook.

    I appreciate that Wesley understands that Grant can help him, and it doesn't mean that Grant is a better golfer than Wesley.
