I so enjoyed this I had never heard this story before and I am so thankful that you taught on it!! It is a great reminder that our God can forgive anything and He is listening!!! And also to humble yourself when you are being disciplined!

Hi Karen, that blesses me. I'm encouraged the sermon ministered to you. Yes, you're right that it is a very powerful account. Along with the Ninevites, I think it's the most powerful testimony of God's mercy in Scripture. God bless and let me know if there are any ways I can pray for you!

There are still prophets today, very few but real prophets!

      Hello @BecauseHeLives787,
Nice to hear from you. Thank you for listening to the sermon. A few things.
First, can you let me know what exactly this comment had to do with the sermon?
Second, I don't believe there is an office of prophet in the church today. Please consider these verses…
Hebrews 1:1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son,
We This verse shows a clear contrast from the way God spoke to us in the Old Testament through prophets to the way he speaks to us today through his Son.
2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
There were false prophets in the Old Testament, but there are false teachers in the New Testament. This verse also shows a transition from prophets to teachers.
