John has avoided everyone but Gane and Stipe for years now . He's been caught for 3 different PEDs and the " pulse " was bs as that drug doesn't pulse. So he deserves that spot. John should have lost his last two fights at LHW . He really didn't do much in either. Particularly against Santos. Dominic landed a lot of shots on him and the olny thing that John really did was a couple take downs. He sure hasn't looked like # 1

It's decided by the UFC fans. I think being active should play a roll in the pound for pound rankings but with that being said it really doesn't hold much weight since it doesn't take into affect that a HW fighter could flatline a MW fighter with ease. Pound for pound is a rediculous concept. Have a good evening man. 🤙

Dana promotes objectively stupid narratives (i.e. Jones is the P4P #1) because he thinks they’ll translate into a big payday (i.e. Jones vs Stipe PPV buys). What he doesn’t realize is that he’s just hurting his own brand. Everyone knows that compared to Pereira and Makhachev, Jones is so far behind in terms of recent activity and quality of opponents. Trying to suggest otherwise just makes the UFC rankings look like a rigged system based on favoritism rather than achievement.
