Care For the Homeless Saved My Life

No one chooses to be mentally ill. No one chooses to suffer from its debilitating effects. And no one chooses to experience the stigma that often accompanies it.
At CFH, we work tirelessly to increase our capacity to treat mental illness and to make access that care easy and convenient. It's just a walk down the hallway from where they live.
You can help us support incredible individuals like M.A. Dennis. He had been living in the shelter system and reached a dark place. Thankfully, fate intervened, and after using the CFH mental health services just down the hallway at his shelter, he…well, why don’t we let him tell the story?

I also want to acknowledge an organization called LIVING POSITIVE. So much of becoming “formerly homeless” involves a team effort. Yes, Care for the homeless/Care found here played a Michael Jordan part in saving my life. But Living Positive played Scottie Pippen and none of this would have turned out the way it did without them. They put me in contact with the realtor who screened me for the apartment I now live in. CFTH worked on my inside and got me right so I could take advantage of an opportunity that LP provided on the outside.
